Complete a 1 min. Film LIVE in APRIL
Two Live Classes Every Month! Join our Premium Cohort! Class 1: Create a 1-minute finished film Class 2: Expand it into a 3-minute film (Or you can start a new project in the second session) You choose your project. In the past, our Premium Cohort focused on story ideas and music, then everyone went off to work on their own. The problem? Life happens. People got busy, distracted, or stuck… and the films didn’t get finished. So we’re changing the system. Our goal: Completion, not perfection. Twice a month we’ll meet LIVE, and you’ll build your animation alongside me in real time. Before class you’ll receive a list of free apps so everyone can follow along. 📅 First Session: April 7 (Tuesday) 9 AM Los Angeles / 12 PM New York 3 PM Los Angeles / 6 PM New York Second Session April 21 (Tuesday) 9 AM Los Angeles / 12 PM New York 3 PM Los Angeles / 6 PM New York What You’ll Learn - Create a custom character sheet - Use free custom GPT tools to speed up production - Direct, edit, add music, and sound effects By the end of Session 1 you will have a completed animated short (at least 1 minute). And yes — the session doesn’t end until everyone finishes their film. By the end of Session 2 you will have a completed animated short (up to 3 minutes). Because a real film isn’t a 6-second clip. It’s story, direction, editing, music, and sound. And you’ll learn how to do all of it LIVE! 💰 Cost: $19/month (Premium) Let’s make some films. 🎬

@Cheri Reynolds I know, right! Because I always do better when I invest in and participate in stuff live… I know there’s probably replays… but… I’m not always so great at getting a replay on my schedule and sticking with it on a regular basis 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Nick Nebelsky yes… see you in premium by April!! (Due to work schedule I’ll have to leave a bit early if I’m in the first session, or come in a bit late if I’m in the 2nd session… but I promise to do it quietly 🤫)

Welcome to AI Storytellers. I'm glad you're here. I'm Nick Nebelsky, and this community exists for one reason — to help you make films with AI. Not someday. Not when you're ready. NOW! NOW! NOW! ✦ YOUR FIRST CREATION — STEP BY STEP: 💥 STEP 1: WRITE YOUR PROMPT — Describe a character or scene in 1-3 sentences. Example: 'A young astronaut standing on an alien ice moon, Jupiter rising behind her, wonder on her face.' 🧸 STEP 2: GENERATE YOUR IMAGE — Use a free image tool: ChatGPT (chatgpt.com) or Claude AI (claude.ai). Paste your prompt. Hit generate. Pick the image you love most. 🎬 STEP 3: ANIMATE WITH GEMINI — Go to gemini.google.com. Upload your image and type: 'Please create a short animation based on this image. [Add 1-2 sentences describing any movement or atmosphere.]' Download or screenshot the result. 🤣 STEP 4: SHARE IT — Post your image AND your animation in the #first-creations channel. Tag it: #Day1Win. You just completed your first animation. BOOM. You are officially a creator. Now let's break the ice. 😍 Introduce yourself in the comments with: 1. Who you are — "I'm a writer exploring AI video" or "I'm a total beginner and I'm terrified and excited." 2. Your North Star film — What's the ONE movie that made you fall in love with storytelling? The one that lives in you. ("I watched Star Wars at 7 and never looked back.") That's it. Drop your intro below and let's get to know each other. Can't wait to see what you're made of. — Nick 😆 P.S. Have fun. Seriously. This field is changing every week and none of us have it all figured out. That's what makes it exciting. Hey it's not perfect. But it's COMPLETE. Now do it again, and again, and again!

@Cristal Vancarson I used to watch that original series on TV when I was a kid! Was so excited when the big screen movie came out in 2017!

@Cristal Vancarson That and the bionic woman… I’m pretty sure I lived vicariously through all the female heroes… pretty sure I still do 😜👩🏻‍🎤

@Nick Nebelsky tbh, I don’t think I would have looked twice at a group named Prompt Heaven. I am a reader and writer at heart, and it was the storytelling into video with Ai idea that got me. I think prompt heaven would possibly end up catching the eye of a different audience than Ai storytellers? I haven’t had a chance to look around much yet, but as someone who likes to write, I’m actually not interested in Ai to give me story ideas… and definitely not write the story for me! just want to learn how to use it to create the art and video presentation of those ideas (as I am not a drawing/painting artist by any stretch!)

Nice! Happy to help… even if it was just a little 🙃 I keep trying to get to an intro post, but keep getting side tracked by other posts in here! But it’s been fun! 🥳
Question! Public or Private?
There is an article in Skoolers that says we should all go public and that people can find us easier! If I go public, my posts will all be public which means anyone can see them not on Skool. I want to do an experiment of going public for one month! But want to ask the community first! https://www.skool.com/skoolers/stop-chasing-members-make-them-find-you?p=ec5aa922

@Nick Nebelsky yeah, you would probably have to be more thoughtful of what gets posted where, and maybe rethink delivery on some things.

@Lydia Lowery Busler This is a great suggestion of strategy to leverage the public groups of others (that are already doing the work to purposefully get them discovered and ranked by search engines!) Without the cons of having your own public group! I love it!! I’m in another group where recently someone who joined said they found the group from a post the owner had made in Skooler’s (back when it was public) it was a post in 2024 and chatGPT directed her to it when she was asking it questions! I think looking for lots of other public facing opportunities to spread your “thing” (whatever it is) sounds alot more feasible than making a group public. Definitely keeping this in mind when I do my “thing” (whatever that turns out to be 😜)
