How To Share Your Buy Me A Coffee (Requested Topic)
Back in August I shared about how you can Monetize While You're Building (Even in a Free Community). Some of you have already made your Buy Me A Coffee or Tea or (fill in the blanks), but a common question from both those that have created or those thinking about creating one is.. Do I announce it? Do I let people know about it? How do I use it?? There are several ways you can do it. For example, I just made that one post explaining how to do it and some of you amazing guys funded my coffee habit lol THANK YOU! _____________________________ You can make a post to let people know once it's been made. Here is a template for that: Title: A Simple Way To Give Back If You Ever Want To Post: Every community has people who like to help out in small ways. Some enjoy contributing ideas. Some share wins. Some like having a simple way to give back when something has helped them. I wanted to make that easy, so I created a small give back course. It is just an optional spot for anyone who ever looks for something like that. I added a short thank you inside so it feels personal, but there is no expectation at all. Here is the link if you ever want it: [Insert link] _____________________________ You could also end your posts with a one liner! Here are some examples: If you got value from this and ever want to give back, you can do that here. If you ever want a simple way to support what I am creating here, you can do that here. If you enjoy my posts and ever want to give back, you can do that here: https://www.skool.com/admins/classroom/3e0a43be?md=e88acf99d05c434f959b33fee903e9c0 If you ever want to support my work in this community, you can do that here: https://www.skool.com/admins/classroom/3e0a43be?md=e88acf99d05c434f959b33fee903e9c0

I’m in another free community where I get value, and they had what would be like a “buy me a coffee membership” we could join for $1 a month. (It wasn’t a separate group, or come with any special promises from the owner. I just get a thank you DM from them once in awhile, or an invite to a $1/month members live group call once in awhile. And I suppose you could surprise this group with other, easy to give resources from time to time also. As a consumer, when I’m a part of a very valuable free group that I appreciate (and they don’t already monetize with useful low ticket resources for sale in their classroom I could purchase)… doing this to give back to the owner of the group would always be a no brainer for me!
Where Did You Hear About Skool?
I've seen a lot of people in Skoolers mention they've come from either the Hormozi launch or from seeing the Meta ads.. I want to know where you guys first heard about Skool?? Was it a creator/community owner? Hormozi?? Ads???

Someone who’s membership I belonged to move it to Skool, so I followed. (Funny thing is, it was a long time before I realized it was a platform with alot of other things to discover and join… I thought it was just the one group)
Are You Making These 3 Skool Mistakes? 📽️ New Video Out
It’s completely normal to bring habits over from other platforms. But Skool works differently, and some of those habits can quietly hold you back. If you’ve been wondering why things feel off… wondering why what used to work is not working now… or you’ve been stuck in planning mode trying to “get it right” before inviting people in… this video will help! It walks through 3 common mistakes that make it harder for your community to grow, connect, or feel alive. If the video helps, like and subscribe so you don’t miss future ones. And if you know someone just getting started, send it their way. 🫶 👇 Which one of these have you run into already? (Mine is in the comments)

@Ica van Eeden PS. I love that you say on your page, NOT about fitness, menopause or retirement! Everyone wants to beat us to death with those topics… and my perpetual inner 27 year old would love to talk about other things 😂

@Lisa Vanderveen I had the same question :)
CapCut’s New Terms Are Dangerous | FYI: Owners, Creators, & Team Members
If you are a community owner, content creator, or a team member inside a community, this is important information you need to know if you are bringing in outside traffic & using CapCut. CapCut quietly updated their Terms of Service on June 12, 2025. Most people have not read them. You should. Here is what this means for creators. First, you give them full rights to everything you upload. That includes video, audio, images, voiceovers, even drafts you never publish. They can use your content forever. They can alter it, monetize it, and use it for AI training. You give them worldwide rights that never expire. You cannot revoke them. Second, it puts you at legal risk. If you upload a draft to test music or sound effects you do not have full rights to, you are still fully responsible for any copyright violations. Even if you never publish the video. The draft sitting in your account can still be stored, processed, or repurposed. And if there is any legal issue with that content, you could be the one getting sued. Third, they can use your name, voice, and likeness in ads or promotions without telling you. You give up any claim to how your face or brand might be used. Fourth, you lose most legal protections. You cannot join a class action if something goes wrong. You are forced into private arbitration, and the timeframe to even file a dispute is limited. Lastly, they make no promises to protect or save your content. If your drafts disappear, you have no recourse. CapCut was once a great free tool. This update changes everything. You are giving up control over your work and exposing yourself to unnecessary legal risk. If you create content for clients, brands, or your own business, you need to find a safer option. (If I hear an update, I will try to remember to post it. But this is the current situation.) 👇 If you know safer alternatives to CapCut, drop them in the comments so others can check them out.
