This morning God had me in different parts of His Word. I came across this passage '12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. ' John 1:12-14 This made me stop and think Yes, we are all created by God. Every person on this earth was created by Him. Even Satan himself was created by God before his fall. But being created by God does not automatically make someone a child of God. The Bible is very clear that becoming a child of God happens through Jesus Christ. Scripture says that those who receive Him and believe in His name are given authority to become children of God, being born not by human effort or natural birth, but born of God. Jesus Himself made a clear distinction when He told those who rejected Him, “You are of your father the devil.” That shows there is a difference between being God’s creation and being part of God’s family. God loves everyone and desires that all would come to repentance. The invitation is open to all. But until someone repents and receives Jesus as Lord and Savior, they are not a child of God according to Scripture. We are created by God, yes. We become children of God through Christ alone.
