What if the thing keeping you stuck in business isn’t strategy… but the state you’re making decisions from? That’s the work we do inside The Regulated Leader. This is a community for business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders who are tired of overthinking, pushing through, second-guessing, people-pleasing, burning out, or changing direction every time something feels uncomfortable. Inside, we look at the behaviour underneath the business problem. Why do you suddenly want to lower your price? Why does one email send you into a spiral? Why do you keep rewriting something that was already ready? Why does rest feel uncomfortable? Why do you know what to do, but still struggle to do it? Because sometimes the issue isn’t that you need more information. You need to recognize the pattern, regulate what’s happening underneath it, and make the next decision from a steadier place. Inside The Regulated Leader, you’ll find practical tools, conversations, challenges, coaching, and support to help you build more capacity, self-trust, and consistency in the way you lead your business. Lead from steadiness, not survival.

@Anna Murrietta Absolutely. Identity is so important, and I also think it can be more complicated than simply “this is who I am.” Sometimes what we think is our identity is actually a role, a pattern, or a way we learned to survive or belong. That can make it really interesting to ask, “Is this truly me, or is this who I’ve had to be?” That’s where the deeper work can start.

You check your email list. One person left. And suddenly the whole afternoon is gone. You're rereading your last email. Wondering what you said wrong. Thinking maybe you should post less. Sell less. Be less. Here's what else it can look like: 🎃 A client replies "ok." and you're sure they're unhappy 🎃 You hold back a post because "what will people think?" 🎃 You drop your price before anyone has even pushed back 🎃 Hours spent drafting a reply to one critical comment This is rejection sensitivity. And it's not you being dramatic or "too sensitive." Your nervous system reads disapproval as danger. Not emotional danger. 𝘋𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳. It reacts to a short email the way it would react to being pushed out of the group. At some point that protected you. But now it's making business decisions for you. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲. Try this before your next decision: "𝘈𝘮 𝘐 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘫𝘶𝘥𝘨𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸?" Just asking the question creates a gap between the sting and the reaction. This is exactly what we explore in the free classroom "𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘋𝘰 𝘐 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘚𝘰 𝘔𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘗𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬?" 87% of entrepreneurs report anxiety, burnout, or both. Most don't talk about it they just push through, because that's what building a business is supposed to look like. If you've ever caught yourself working 60-hour weeks and still feeling behind... overthinking a decision that shouldn't take this long... or dropping your price the second someone pushes back... that's not a discipline problem. That's your nervous system, doing what it's always done to keep you safe even when it's costing you the deal, the rest, the clarity. I'm Lisa, founder of 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 a free community for entrepreneurs and coaches who are done white-knuckling their way through burnout and ready to actually understand what's running the show underneath it. Inside, free members get: 🍏 A monthly live challenge \(real tools, real prompts, no fluff 🍏 A place to be seen by people doing the same work 🍏 A simple tracker to catch your pattern in real time, before it runs you No pitch to join anything else. Just come see if this is your people. 👉 https://www.skool.com/reset/about 💬 If any of this sounds familiar, drop a YES you are not the only one.

@Jamie Kullman That’s such an important realization. The first sign really depends on the person, the stressor, and what their activation looks like in that moment. Even for the same person, one situation might create urgency and overworking, while another leads to avoidance, shutting down, controlling the details, or agreeing to things they don’t have capacity for. That’s why I look for a change from someone’s usual baseline. Are they moving faster, becoming more tense, overthinking, withdrawing, or suddenly feeling responsible for everything? The pattern can look different, but the shift usually tells us that protection has started leading.
Imposter syndrome doesn’t always sound like “I’m not good enough.”
Sometimes it sounds like: “𝗜’𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸.” “Maybe I should lower the price.” “I need to learn a little more first.” And you’re not alone. 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝟴𝟮% 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. But what if it’s not just a confidence problem? Sometimes, there is a 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 underneath freeze, flight, fawn, or fight. 🌿 Starting 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟳𝘁𝗵, our FREE 𝟳-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 will help you recognize which patterns may be affecting your pricing, visibility, and decisions and practice small ways to interrupt them. @Oddysey Campbell Oh, she is LOUD! 😂🥲 But what’s really interesting is how many different protection messages are in there quit before you fail, question the path, speed up, slow down, don’t embarrass yourself. No wonder it can feel exhausting! The goal isn’t necessarily to make that voice disappear. It’s learning to catch it and ask, “What are you trying to protect me from right now?” That is where we start taking some of its power away. 💚🌿
