#2.Competition, Comparison & the Quiet Poison of “Not Enough”
✨ Inspiration Series, Post #2 Beautiful creatives, Today I want to talk about something that touches nearly every artist at some point on the path — quietly, painfully, and often without us even realizing it: Competition.Comparison.The belief that someone else’s brilliance somehow dims our own. It sneaks in when we see another artist’s work and think: “She’s so good…”“He knows more than I do…”“Their art is extraordinary — mine is nothing.” And just like that, the inner landscape shifts. Instead of celebrating another’s beauty, we begin to measure ourselves against it.Instead of feeling inspired, we feel small.Instead of creating, we stall. But here is the truth we must remember: **Comparison is a distortion. Competition is a myth.Your creativity is not in a footrace with anyone else’s.** Every artist — every single one — is here to express something only they can express. No one else has your fingerprint. No one else has your voice, your history, your symbols, your soul-markings. So why do we compete? Because underneath it all, there is a tender ache: “Am I enough?”“Is my work worthy?”“Do I belong here?” And when we do not yet trust our own creative worth, jealousy and envy can begin to take root — not because we are unkind, but because we are afraid. Afraid of being invisible.Afraid of not measuring up.Afraid that someone else’s talent means less space for ours. But here in truth:There is room for everyone. There is room for you. Creativity is not a scarcity field. It is not a contest with winners and losers. It is a garden with infinite blossoms — each one different, each one necessary. When one of us rises, we all rise. When one of us shines, the path becomes brighter for everyone behind them. So let this be our collective intention: ✨ To celebrate one another.✨ To honor our own unfolding.✨ To release the illusion that we must outdo anyone.✨ To trust that our unique expression — exactly as it is — matters. And most of all: **Your work is not meant to be compared.

This really resonates, @Kisma Reidling I’ve found that comparison only ever pulls me out of my own lane — but when I stay with my own rhythm, things unfold far more naturally. What frees me is remembering that expression isn’t a competition… it’s a contribution. We each bring something only we can bring, and that’s more than enough.🌱
💎 Gem #3 – The Courage of Showing Up
This week I’ve been thinking about what it truly means to show up — not perfectly, not fully prepared, not with everything figured out… but simply, honestly, and wholeheartedly. And I realized something tender and profound: Showing up is courage.Showing up is the transformation. We often believe courage means boldness, confidence, or certainty. But in truth, courage is much quieter. It’s the steady hand that opens the door even when the heart trembles. It’s the willingness to be seen — as we are, not as we think we should be. Every artist knows this intimately.Every creative soul feels that moment before beginning… the hesitation, the doubt, the soft fear. But we show up anyway. And that “anyway” is everything. Key InsightCourage isn’t a feeling we wait for — it’s a practice we grow into. The more we show up, the stronger we become. The path shapes us because we step onto it, not before. Summary / Takeaways - Showing up imperfectly is still showing up. - Courage grows every time we cross the threshold of hesitation. - You don’t need readiness; you need willingness. - Creative transformation begins with presence, not perfection. Engaging Question / Invitation Where have you shown up — or where are you willing to show up — even if it feels tender or uncertain? Your story might be the courage someone else needs. May the light reveal exactly what you’re ready to see.

There’s such truth in this, @Kisma Reidling Courage often looks far quieter than people imagine — more like a steady willingness to take the next step, even when the heart trembles a little. I’ve found that showing up gently, without perfection, is often what opens the path.
