hey Andre and all. I wanted to share something. I had a man call me yesterday to do a general notary assignment. First of all, I was wondering how he got my number because my Google business profile is not up yet. When I asked him where he got my number he said he looked it up. Anyway, the document that he needed notarized is in Spanish. He had the English version, but said that he needed the Spanish version notarized to take to Mexico. I asked if he needed the document i Apostilled and he said no. When I met with him, he bought the English version of the document and the Spanish version of the document and said that he translated the English version through AI. I felt leery about notarizing the document in Spanish. Lucky for me he put 1079 instead of 1979 as his year of birth and I told him that he needed to fix it. I looked at the guidelines for my state and was quite confused. I got some guidance from a notary group in Facebook but Andre I thought about you when you said you don’t leave the house for a certain amount cause he gave me pushback when I added a travel fee to meet with him so he came to me. It’s a small amount but I will follow through.

Hello All I did a little research regarding pricing for Estate Planning, POAs and wills. I called notaries in a 50 mile radius from where I am located and all said the same. It is $10 per signature but those signatures can add up and most give a flat rate for doing th service. One lady, who I will give a glowing review explained that they look at every signature including those of the witnesses and it can become costly depending on the number of signatures needed. I was always thinking that the fee was based on the number of stamps ugh 😩I felt really slow lol. Her price is 75-80 for POA including $25 travel fee, although NC doesn’t allow us to charge that but she said depending on the number of signatures it can go upwards of $250. Just FYI especially for anyone in NC.
