I've been testing a few different ideas for making money online so I can share my REAL LIFE results (not the fantasy stories being peddled on YouTube every day). About 3 weeks ago I started a new YouTube channel which is already starting to gain traction. In the last 10 days my video count has gone from 10 to 20 videos but my watch hours has jumped from under 50 to over 550 hours, so the monetization target of 4,000 watch hours is now looking very doable. In my enthusiasm for this channel and it's growing popularity I boldly told my son that I think I can get monetized by the end of the year and he just laughed and bet me that I can't. Unfortunately, my subscriber count isn't growing as quickly as my watch hours and 1,000 subscribers still looks like a big mountain to climb, but I'm determined to show my sceptical Gen Z son, what this old Boomer is capable of. If you don't like calm, peaceful instrumental music playing in the background while you work, read, relax or just go about your life, then this isn't for you. But if you enjoy good music, read on. I publish a new 90-120 minute music video EVERY day at 5pm UK time (6pm CET, 12 noon EST, 9am PST). So far, I have created playlists of Fireside Jazz Piano Trio (with crackling logs), Solo Felt Grand Piano, Neo-Classical Trio - Grand Piano with Violin & Cello - and I'm currently in the middle of producing a playlist of Jazz Club Quartet featuring Saxophone.
