I don’t think I’ve been to my fav travel destination yet, I’m dying to go to Europe. So far Korea is my favorite. Movie, so many: Titanic, Little Women (don’t judge), The substance, The age of Adaline, Valentine’s Day. Books, where the crawdads sing and 50 Shades (again, don’t judge🤪)

Shines vs. Partnerwork
I recently had a student tell me, “I don’t really see the point of doing shines. I just want to learn partnerwork—it's not like I’ll actually use shines when I’m social dancing, so why bother?” I have plenty of thoughts on this, but I’d love to hear yours first. Do you enjoy shines, partnerwork, or both? And do you think shines are important to practice? Let's discuss 🎙️💭

Moved my WA comment here too: In my opinion, shines are the max expression of musicality, reason why I think I’m so bad at it. But it also helps to know mechanics and how to shift weight and all that good stuff that we learn in class. So I think that practicing a lot, can help us significantly too😝
