Freedom isn’t loud. It’s not flashy. And it’s definitely not about working from a beach somewhere. It’s about having the ability to choose what’s right for your life… when it actually matters. Today, I pulled my daughter out of mainstream school. Not from a place of panic. Not from a place of fear. But from a place of certainty. Because I’ve spent the last few years intentionally building a life that gives me options. Options to slow down. Options to pivot. Options to say “this isn’t working” and actually do something about it. Right now, she needs something different. Less pressure. Less anxiety. More space to learn in a way that supports who she is. And I get to give her that. That’s what freedom looks like to me. Not escaping responsibility… But being resourced enough to respond to life properly. Most people aren’t lacking ambition. They’re lacking options. And options are built… not wished for. This is your reminder that the life you’re building today should be able to support you when life asks more of you tomorrow.

My two daughters have earned $1.2k each in a year and I haven’t even started building under them yet. They’re 2 and 4. They can’t tie their own shoes. They definitely can’t tell you what a subscription is. But they each have accounts. And those accounts are already earning. $1.2k in a year. From my efforts alone. Before I’ve even begun to build under them properly. And when I think about what that looks like in 18 years after I do build? I have to sit with that for a second. And they don’t know it yet. But one day they will. Because most kids leave home with nothing behind them. They enter the housing market scraping together a deposit. They start uni with debt before they’ve earned a penny. They go travelling on a shoestring and come back to nothing. That’s not going to be my girls’ story. Not because I got lucky. Because I saw something, understood what it could do for their future, made a decision and I didn’t walk away from it. Throughout their childhood we’ll be teaching them about money, business and what it means to be financially responsible. Not because it’s trendy. Because nobody taught us and look where that got most of us. The cycle stops here. One day they’ll understand what these accounts mean. What their mum was building while they were at nursery and nap times and completely oblivious to all of it. And I hope when they do, they look back and think she did that for us. And wasn’t afraid to show us what it looks like to go after her dreams as well. I’ve been a bit of a serial online business gal over the years, I’ve tried a handful of different businesses, all requiring large investment and sales skills of which I have none. I’m the least ‘salesy’ person ever, it scares me! I joined this amazing business and community a week and a half ago and have actually made $100! 😳 Literally the first time I’ve ever made anything online and I’m still pinching myself.
