You told me where you're stuck. Here's what I found 👀
Hey everyone! 🖤 Yesterday I DMed 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 of you personally with one question: 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐰? A third of you answered, and the answers overlapped a lot. Here are the top 3 issues you agreed on: 🔥 #1: Time / consistency: Life is busy, and it's hard to keep going week after week. 🔥 #2: Pitching: Not knowing what to say to brands, or whether to hit send. 🔥 #3: Finding clients / retainers: Not knowing where the paying clients are, or how to turn one deal into monthly income. (Confidence, content, and pricing came up too.) Here's what surprised me: 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬𝐧,𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦. You can make the content. What's in the way is finding the time, getting in front of brands, and turning that into paying clients. One more thing stood out: 𝟗𝟓.𝟓% 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧,𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐲𝐞𝐭. That's not a callout. It's good news, because Day 3 is all about pitching the brand, which is one of your top blocks. 𝐒𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞,𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏: 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐝. 📚 It's 3 days, and there are 5 days until October. One day at a time, you'll have time to spare. These issues are fixable, but more information won't fix them. Small actions, done consistently, with people cheering you on will. So that's what October is for. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 $𝟓𝐊 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 is built around exactly what you told me: ✅ Short weekly actions that fit a busy schedule ✅ Real pitching practice, so hitting send gets easier every week ✅ A focus on finding paying clients, not just making content ✅ Accountability here in the group, so you're not doing it alone 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏𝐒 & 𝐀𝐂𝐗𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐎𝐓𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐁𝐄 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐑 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐎𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐈𝐓𝐒. Lock in for October (takes 2 minutes): 🔒 Comment below with: 1️⃣ The day you'll finish Brief to Paid. Pick a date before October 1. Saying it out loud makes it real. 2️⃣ Come back and reply "Done ✅" to your own comment when you finish, so we can all celebrate you. 🎉 A win is a win! 3️⃣ Tag one member to finish with you. You'll keep each other honest.

@Kitty Assenmacher ah thankyou for that! I didn’t even notice. I was trying to show that I give them treats for multiple different things, so calories matter to me, but I’ll change it if it doesn’t make sense.
This is exactly why “good content” isn’t just having a good phone. 👀
Same subject. Same location. But when you start paying attention to camera settings, lighting AND framing, the entire quality of your content changes. For this example, I focused on the same formula I’ve been teaching over the weekend: 180° shutter → Native ISO → f/2.8–f/4 look → 4800K–5600K WB → slightly brighter exposure → intentional lighting + clean framing. And you do NOT need an expensive cinema camera to start practicing this. I used an iPhone 14 (I think) Download the Blackmagic Camera app and manually control your settings instead of letting your phone decide everything for you. Lock your white balance. Control your exposure. Use the 180° shutter rule. Position your subject around the light instead of trying to fix bad lighting in editing. The goal isn’t to make every video look like a Hollywood production. It’s to understand why an image looks good so you can recreate that quality intentionally for brands. Because creators who understand light, composition and their camera are going to have a completely different skill set than creators who just hit record. 📲 Full Blackmagic settings tutorial coming to Instagram soon I promise!

Brief to Paid — Day 2 of 3
🎬 Day 2 Recap: Make the Content Today was the whole video, start to finish, live: PLAN → SETTINGS → LIGHT → FILM → EDIT → REVIEW Here's what we covered: - Planned every beat — hook, context, reveal, proof, CTA, mapped out before anyone touched a camera. - Set up Blackmagic Camera — free, pro-quality footage without going full filmic. 4K, 24fps, locked white balance, low ISO. - Lighting + framing — face your light, eye-level lens, grid over dead-center, brace it steady. - Locked everything before recording — frame, light, white balance, exposure, focus, LOCK, record. The single biggest upgrade from today. - Filmed all 5 beats — 5–7 second clips, 2 takes max each. Done beats perfect. - Assembled in Adobe Express — clips glued in order, every gap cut, exported as one video. - Added voice + captions in Captions AI — made it sound and look like you. - Reviewed with the sound off — captions alone have to carry the story. - Watermarked it — protects your work until a brand actually licenses it. Your homework 1. If your video isn't 100% finished — finish it. Filmed, edited, captioned, watermarked. 2. Comment your finished video below this post. ⚠️This comment is what gets you into tomorrow's live pitching session. Day 3 is where we package what you made yesterday & today into an actual pitch and send it; if your video isn't in the comments, you won't be let into that session. There's nothing to pitch if nothing got posted. Drop your video below 👇 See you tomorrow.

Sorry mines late! Something came up last night, so I had to finish the voice over this morning
Brief - To - Paid Day One!
Brief to Paid — Day 1 of 3 Today was step one of our loop: SEE THE BRIEF → MAKE THE CONTENT → PITCH THE BRAND Here's what we covered: The six questions underneath every brief — audience, problem/desire, campaign goal, likely KPI, required message, and creative freedom. We walked through this live using The Farmer's Dog's Crunchy Biscuits brief. Reading between the lines — deliverables that aren't stated, pay that's listed two different ways, deadlines that look closed but aren't. A brief tells you what a brand needs; your job is figuring out how to make someone care. What 80% of creators would make — and why we're not doing that. Generic product close-ups and "POV: you finally found…" openers are the default. We're building angles that stand out instead. 3 angles, each built on a KPI — not just "creative ideas," but angles engineered around one specific metric: watch-time, conversion, saves, engagement, or reach. Your homework (due before Day 2) 1. Review your 3 angles from today's chat. 2. Look at the brand's content style in the Meta Ad Library. (https://www.facebook.com/adlibrary) 3. Pick the one angle you feel is strongest to match to the brand! 4. Write the framework (use the Mini Strategy Template from today). 5. Comment your final locked-in strategy below this post. ⚠️ Homework is required for Day 2 access. If your strategy isn't in the comments before our next call, you won't be let into Day 2. This isn't just a formality. Day 2 is built entirely on the angle you lock in today, so there's nothing for you to work from if this step gets skipped. Drop your final strategy below 👇 See you tomorrow.

My content is for Dog parents with food motivated dogs who use treats on walks, during training, or for content and want to be mindful of how quickly those calories can add up. The brand needs this content to show the Crunchy Biscuits as an everyday reward and highlight that they’re only 9 calories per biscuit. My hook / angle will be: “I never realized how quickly the calories from those little training treats could add up.” The one thing the viewer needs to understand by the end is: Crunchy Biscuits are a low calorie option for rewarding a food motivated dog throughout everyday activities like walks and training. The action I want them to take is: “Send this to someone who’s training a food-motivated dog.”
