Fun Fact Friday
Therapists have hobbies too! One of my favorite ways to unwind is baking homemade bread. There's something incredibly grounding about mixing the dough, waiting for it to rise, and filling the house with the smell of fresh bread. It reminds me that not everything in life can—or should—be rushed. Cooking is one of my love languages, so if I'm making you a meal, know it's one of the ways I show I care. Since it's Friday, I also wanted to share my latest Brainz Magazine article in case you're looking for a thoughtful weekend read. 📖 The Child Who Learned Not to Need 🔗 https://share.google/kQiAtgjBaBcpQJMTp 💬 Discussion: What's one hobby or activity that helps you recharge after a long week? ℹ️ Educational purposes only. The Stories We Carry
"I'm too much." "I'm not enough." "I don't belong." Many of us carry stories about ourselves that were written long before today. Sometimes a small moment hurts because it touches one of those stories. Instead of asking, "Why am I reacting like this?" try asking, "Where have I felt this before?" 📖 I dive deeper into how these early experiences shape us in my latest Brainz Magazine article: The Child Who Learned Not to Need 🔗 https://share.google/kQiAtgjBaBcpQJMTp 👉 What is one story about yourself you've had to rewrite? ℹ️ Educational purposes only. Closure
Many people spend years waiting for closure. An explanation. An apology. An answer. Sometimes those things never come. Part of healing can involve learning how to move forward without them. 👉 What does closure mean to you? 📬 Subscribe & Fly: https://share.google/Y6AG3nxg44F4GjfGi ℹ️ Educational purposes only. Things We Don't Talk About
When Rejection Feels Bigger Than the Moment Have you ever found yourself replaying a conversation over and over? Wondering if you said the wrong thing. Questioning whether someone is upset with you. Feeling crushed by feedback that someone else might brush off. Sometimes our reaction isn't just about the present moment. It's connected to older experiences of rejection, exclusion, criticism, or feeling like we didn't belong. Those experiences can quietly shape the way we interpret situations today. Instead of asking yourself: "Why am I reacting like this?" Try asking: "Where have I felt this before?" That simple shift can move us from self-judgment to self-understanding. 📖 I explore how childhood experiences can influence these patterns in my latest Brainz Magazine article: The Child Who Learned Not to Need 🔗 https://share.google/kQiAtgjBaBcpQJMTp 💜 Discussion: Have you ever realized a current situation reminded you of something much older? ℹ️ Educational purposes only. The Child Who Learned Not to Need
Many adults who appear fiercely independent learned that lesson long before adulthood. Sometimes self-reliance begins as adaptation. My latest Brainz Magazine article explores the hidden costs of hyper-independence and the emotional lessons many of us carry into adulthood. 📖 The Child Who Learned Not to Need Read it here: https://share.google/kQiAtgjBaBcpQJMTp 👉 Do you think independence is always a strength, or can it sometimes become a barrier to connection? ℹ️ Educational purposes only.
