Rush to Resolution launched first episode
It took me long enough! I am finally set up and ready to get some podcasts online. Here’s what held me back from launching the first episode: - Branding. Creating a logo, color scheme, and banner graphics. This set me back a week. I’m not sold on my current graphics, but I can’t keep waiting. - Creating an RTR website to drive traffic. I currently have traffic going to BrettRush.com while I continue to build RushToResolution.com. I’m going to have accompanying blog posts. - EQing my microphone. I spent hours with different headphones, speakers, car audio, and I created presets specific for my mix. - Background music. I searched for hours. I decided to pull the guitar off of the wall and recording myself. It simplified my search. - Accompanying podcast graphics. I manually created all of the overlays in the podcast, including the logos and images. This just took a brief Adobe Premiere refresher course. NOW, I am set up to record and drop it into my Premiere template. I write my experiences for those that haven’t started to know what to plan for. I would have delegated the areas that took me a long time to achieve. Here are links to my first episode. I’m completely open to your suggestions that I’ll implement in the next one. https://open.spotify.com/episode/5FH0GkY5DFR83a32qXJh5M?si=cp6Mh0UUSvOFfRtnifBQbQ https://youtu.be/_VAtWVYg7jw

🎯 When niching down pays off big time: Dr. Efrat Goldratt just reached out to me!
Being here in The Podcast Key has taught me one thing: go narrow in your niche. It’s not just advice—it’s the strategy that sets you apart. Case in point: I’ve been sharing insights on LinkedIn about using Theory of Constraints (TOC) specifically in construction projects. And guess who reached out? Dr. Efrat Goldratt-Ashlag, the daughter of Eli Goldratt—the mind behind The Goal and Rules of Project Flow and many other books. This wouldn’t have happened if I was talking broadly about “how to improve construction.” It happened because I went deep into a specific problem that TOC solves in our industry. What @Matthew Thompson teaches works. It’s not fluff, and this isn’t a fluke. The niche strategies we’re learning here are opening doors, building credibility, and, honestly, creating conversations I never thought possible. If you’re wondering whether your niche is “too small,” trust the process. Going narrow isn’t limiting—it’s where the magic happens. What’s one win you’ve had by going deep into your niche? Share it below—let’s celebrate the power of focus! #GoNarrowGoDeep #ThePodcastKey #PodcastingSuccess

What are you excited to do in the New Year?
Share your goals for 2025, or just to start doing in January! Through the holiday break, I’ve leveraged NotebookLM to summarize long documents into 5 minute podcasts. I’m making a few tweaks to the scripts and I’m excited to start recording video podcasts. My niche is helping tech startups provide a best-in-class customer experience, leveraging AI tools for the customers and the agents. I’ll post on YouTube and Spotify. Are you using any tools to post to other podcast sites? https://youtube.com/@brettrush https://open.spotify.com/show/014w3U7ar2Mnr7k6RC9P3A?si=B6A9B8eTQ6OcGJjOV2MjBw

@Brett Rush Awesome!! Thanks for the tip
Guests
How do you all get guests that are “out of your league” I would love to have a few episodes of my podcast where I interview someone ahead of me “the hero” but often times in my space (unfortunately) it’s a very - what’s in it for me - mentality. They are larger and bigger platform… what do you all offer? 💰💰? what if said 👈emoji is short? How do you convince them?
