Dog sitting or boarding?
Hi everyone, we are in the stressful situation of not knowing what will happen with our trip to Europe in April. We have very ill family members we are trying to get over to see but the conflict has made it a bit challenging to plan for. It’s 50/50 if our flights will go. Our biggest stress is for Sally. We had a wonderful person booked in to house and dog sit but they need certainty that we can’t give right now and they may need to pull out. Has anyone had positive experiences with local dog sitters or boarding they could share? Thank you 🙏

Small win with place!
Hi everyone, thought I’d share a small win. When we first brought Sally in, I thought I’d never be able to teach her place. She really struggled to stay and settle - she’d sit in place for 2 seconds then leave to run around. But today I had a small win. For the first time she stayed in place whilst I went down stairs for a few mins (usually she just follows me everywhere haha). Small steps but super proud of Sally today!

@Maria Sirianni thank you! You are doing awesome!! We didn’t totally succeed at crate training but all I can say is keep persevering!! Sally learning place has given me renewed hope haha

Going live today legends 🐾🙌🏻🎧
Our Walk & Talk Q&A is going down today at 12:30pm and I want YOUR questions. What’s been happening on your walks lately? Pulling? Reactivity? Overexcitement? Zero engagement? Or maybe something small that’s been bugging you? Drop your questions in the comments below and we’ll break them down live. Real scenarios. Real solutions. No fluff. Bring the messy ones too. That’s where the breakthroughs live. See you at 12:30 🔥 Let’s build better walks together.

My big ones with Sally are pulling & getting engagement when she is distracted or excited. Her recall is probably only at 90% also..
My turning point - when I contacted the Wonderful Walkys for assistance and have never looked back!
This behaviour is what made me turn to Walkys for help. This was in 2022 and we just started (a week) with Walkys. Archie would bark at anyone walking past us and if it was someone walking past us with a dog, running or on a bike I was guaranteed that Archie would display this behaviour and I didn’t know how to help Archie. I felt very sad for my boy. When I turned to Walkys for help I knew from my first 1:1 training with Nath that I was in great hands. After about a month of the 1:1 training I joined Walkys on a weekly basis. Honestly, it’s the best decision I could have made for myself and mostly for my beautiful boy Archie 🥰

That is amazing Maria! It is so hard when those behaviours happen, but so wondeferful to hear things have improved with your determination :)
Teaching Place
Hey everyone, I am following along the Calm Collective. We never taught Sally (our 9 month Jack Russell x Maltese) “Place”. Has anyone had any wins introducing this new concept? Any tips on how would be appreciated!
