Coffee Chat Recording 4/13
What I've been using lately as far as homeopathy goes (both chronically & acutely). Digging into remedies like Carcinosin, Borax, Strep Tilch & common acute remedies. Resources on the Haren Holistics Website. Spring remedies for allergies, yard work injuries & ticks & all that jazz. How to dose acute remedies. Difference between sugar pillules & liquid remedies. AND SO MUCH MORE GOODNESS. I hope you join on the next one :) Cheers, Lex

Aconite - for shock!
Aconite is a well indicated homeopathic remedy for: violent stress, shock or fear that leads to illness. An example could be a traumatizing car accident that left a person in utter shock and led to a deeply rooted panic state after. Another example could be going outside in a brisk winter storm and the stress of the physical environment just stripped your vital force. When you come back inside, you almost immediately feel like your body is in a state of shock and coming down with illness. Key notes about this remedy and how symptoms may manifest include, but are not limited to: - mind: fear & convinced they will die, restlessness, panic states, alternating moods, calm in b/w panic states, sad - generals: extreme excitability of nervous system, desires open air, intolerable pains (stinging/burning) - headaches, hot ear, anxious expression, hyperventilating, nightmares Can you think of a time when aconite could have been helpful for you or a loved one? I'll leave my story of using aconite in the comments!

I used aconite for our goat Reba who seemed to have a lot of traumatizing & quite literally "shocking" experiences as she got herself massively tangled in our electric fence when she was small and lost a few brain cells, I'm sure. She also had a miscarriage around the time we moved from sunny California to dreary, soggy N. Idaho. I've used aconite to help support her body from all of her previous traumas and "shocks" and she seems to be a much friendlier and well-behaved goat now :)

Happy International Homeopathy Day!
It's Samuel Hahnemann's birthday (the "father of homeopathy") and it's a great day to remember how grateful we all are for him daring to ask the question: "What if we worked with the body, rather than against it?" -> spurring on the principle of "LIKE CURES LIKE" which governs the entire system of homeopathic medicine! I love to take this day to reflect on where homeopathy has brought me and my clients and friends (and all the baby cows along the way too). So 2 things . . . 1) What brought you to homeopathy initially? 2) I've got one more freebie for you today as a gift to celebrate!! Check out the quick reference guide (Homeopathic First Aid by Body System) below 😍
