Clue 5 “Complete”
That’s a bit of a fib… I still need to bind off, but I really wanted to get the sleeves started before I decide whether or not to add a few more rounds to the hem. I veered from the pattern. Since my row gauge was off and I knew I wanted more than 2” of ribbing, it wasn’t far from done after chart 5, and I didn’t want to end up with half a repeat of chart 4, so I improvised. I think I like though! No time to try it on for pics this week, but it’s hitting me just above the hip (where I want it) right now 👍 I’d love to try and block the body this week, but we’ll have to see how much knitting there is to do!

It fits!! I’m loving this sweater and kal sooo much, it’s such a nice pace and so fun to see how unique everyone’s are!

Kiera, I looove this! Using two different tones in the texture section is such a smart idea. Beautiful palette 💜
Clue 4!
Can’t wait for our next clue! Have enjoyed this tremendously and am loving all the beautiful work everyone is sharing!

Clue 4 Complete!
Oooh… just a few more hours before we get to dive back in!!! This MYAL has lit a fire under that little creative goblin that lives inside lol. You know, the one that tells you “it’s okay to cast on a 3rd project this week” and asks “who really needs 8 hours of sleep??” My little craft room is a disaster and I couldn’t be happier😁

@Fabienne Pottier Ha! Absolutely addictive! Look at all of us on here two hours early, itching to get our next clue! Fabienne… I am green with envy haha I cannot wait to retire. I may just have an alarm smashing ceremony when the time comes 😉

@Beth Williams Same! Thought I would be incapable of letting go of control (I might be a bit of a perfectionist?), but this has been so much fun. I’m chalking it up to Zanete’s keen eye for design. How could we go wrong with her leading the way?
The In-between time
While waiting for Clue 5 to come out. I decided to start knitting the Harlow Flip hat by Andrea Mowry. The yarn and pattern was a gift from the VKL (Vogue Knitting Live) conference of a week and a half ago. I'm really pleased with how it is looking so far. The pattern is very clever! It is all two-color brioche. It's also very portable as I travel on public transit a lot. I can't wait for Clue 5 to come out! I've seen so many beautiful projects from everyone here.

I’d never think to pair them, but those yarns are beautiful together! I started a Harlow Flip a few months back. I didn’t like my fibre choices so I frogged it, though I’ve been searching my stash to try again. Your stitches look lovely and plump. Have you done brioche before??

Yah! My Mom completed her MusiKAL not long ago, and it is stunning. She inspired me to finally try out brioche. I think you’re right about the yarn. I was using a pretty rustic DK and a loosely spun colour changing yarn. Both were quite airy, I think they’d be better suited to fair isle or a hardy cable pattern where things are meant to blend a little more? I didn’t think to size down my needles though, that’s a great tip! It is definitely a slower process, though I agree with you that it’s got a relaxing rhythm to it. Will try again with the right yarn… maybe something moody with a teal pop for contrast?! 😉

I’m a grandma to 2, who’s been learning to knit for 15 years. I love to weave, crochet, sew, garden, golf, kayak, and snowboard. By day, I’m a welder.
