I am a 71-year-old grandmother that lives in Northern California. My husband died of dementia a few years ago, and never believed in insurance. So I basically have no extra money. I live on social security and it doesn't go far. Also I have serious physical problems, too many to go into. I spend most of my life in pain, but have managed to write two and a half Christian fantasy books and two and a half Christian sci-fi books. Since my husband's death, I have spent my time learning to edit my books, and have one book fully edited. I still need beta readers for the fantasy. In order to publish my books, I need to earn money to buy covers. So I thought about what I know the most about. It's prayer. I thought I would write some courses about how to pray effectively and biblically. With my health problems, this is incredibly difficult. I could never manage coaching someone. Even though I know how to pray I find myself frozen. Where do I start? What scriptures should I use? Am I crazy to even try? Tomorrow is May 12th and I'm going to try to at least write down what areas I want to teach. I thought I would do two classes. One a basic class of about five lessons that would go for $20. The other class would be much more in-depth and I'm not sure how much I will charge. I don't even know how to set all this stuff up. I used to be really clever on the computer and smart technologically, but now after a stroke and cancer and chemo, it seems like a large part of my brain is gone. But I can't think of any other way to make money and I need to have book covers. In fantasy and sci-fi, having professionally done book covers makes a big difference on whether a book will sell or not. Part of me is very excited that I'm getting my books ready to go out. It's just the earning money part that has me frozen. I know God has a plan, it's just a matter of me discovering it.
