Hyperpigmentation and Melasma
What they are, why do they happen, and how GHK-Cu or a GLOW peptide blend can help. What Is Hyperpigmentation? Hyperpigmentation = areas of skin that become darker than your natural tone due to excess melanin production. Common types: - Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) – after acne, irritation, picking - Solar lentigines (sun spots) – from UV exposure - Melasma – hormonally influenced pigment patches What Is Melasma? Melasma is a chronic pigment condition that appears as: - Symmetrical brown/gray patches - Commonly on cheeks, upper lip, forehead - More common in women - Often worsens with heat, sun, pregnancy, birth control, or hormonal shifts It’s sometimes called the “mask of pregnancy.” Why Hyperpigmentation and Melasma Occur: Pigment production involves: 1. UV radiation 2. Inflammation 3. Hormones 4. Barrier disruption Melasma is especially complex because it involves: 1. Vascular changes 2. Dermal inflammation 3. Increased melanocyte sensitivity 4. Heat triggers (not just UV) Learn how GHK-Cu and GLOW blends can help (see attached file). Right on time! I've been dealing with some hyperpigmentation and have been unsure of what to try next.
THE “MAZ” STACK
- M = Metformin - A = AOD-9604 - Z = Cagrilintide Metformin • Improves insulin sensitivity• Reduces hepatic glucose production• Activates AMPK (energy regulation pathway)• May blunt appetite in some individuals AOD-9604 (HGH Fragment 176-191) • Fragment of growth hormone• Studied for lipolysis (fat breakdown)• Does not significantly raise blood glucose like full GH• Primarily researched for stubborn fat reduction Cagrilintide • Long-acting amylin receptor agonist• Increases satiety signaling• Slows gastric emptying• Often discussed alongside GLP-1 agonists for dual appetite control Why People Stack Them: The theory behind MAZ: - Metformin → improves metabolic efficiency - AOD-9604 → supports fat mobilization - Cagrilintide → suppresses appetite So the stack aims to target: 1. Appetite control 2. Fat breakdown 3. Insulin sensitivity From multiple angles simultaneously. Important Considerations - Dosing varies widely in online discussions - Potential side effects: GI distress, nausea, hypoglycemia risk (depending on combination and individual factors) - Stacking appetite suppressants can increase nausea significantly First — important context: - Metformin is FDA-approved (prescription medication). - AOD-9604 is a research peptide (not FDA-approved for fat loss). - Cagrilintide is still in clinical development and not commercially approved in the U.S. - Combining these is not an FDA-approved protocol and should only be done under medical supervision. MAZ Stack Overview M = Metformin A = AOD-9604 Z = Cagrilintide Typical Dose Ranges: 1️⃣ Metformin Clinical ranges: - 500 mg once daily → titrated - Common therapeutic range: 1,000–2,000 mg/day divided doses Titrated slowly to reduce GI side effects. 2️⃣ AOD-9604 Research ranges often cited: - 250–500 mcg dailyUsually administered subcutaneously. Human data is limited compared to GLP-1s. 3️⃣ Cagrilintide In clinical obesity trials: - Weekly dosing - Doses studied ranged approximately 0.3 mg → 2.4 mg weekly (titrated)

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi everyone, I wanted to take a moment to speak openly and honestly with you about what’s been happening on Facebook and why things are shifting. Over time, Facebook’s increasing censorship has made it extremely difficult to host meaningful, educational conversations there. Content is being restricted, posts are removed without warning, and accounts and groups like ours are being limited or suspended for reasons that often make little sense. Because of this, I’ve made the decision to focus fully to Skool. I want to say thank you — genuinely — for being here. This Skool group is where the real conversations can happen without fear of shadow bans, take downs, or constantly walking on eggshells. Your engagement, questions, and shared experiences are what make this community valuable, and I truly appreciate every one of you choosing to stay connected here. If you previously invited friends or colleagues to the Facebook group, I’d love for you to invite them here to Skool instead. This is now our primary home, and it’s where all updates, discussions, and resources will live going forward. The more aligned people we have here, the stronger and more supportive this community becomes. Thank you for your trust, your presence, and your willingness to adapt as platforms change. I’m excited about what we can build together here — without censorship, without restrictions, and with far more intention. With much gratitude, Kristina Marie 🫶 Please share the Skool invite link: https://www.skool.com/kristinas-peptide-junkies-24-4251/about?ref=b95e744ce4cc491aa244b5ef495d5927

What is your favorite pep(s) and why? Mine are: Tirz- I started in early 2024. Lost over 70 pounds in about 7 months. Can now wear clothes that I never thought I would fit in again. I definitely have more energy. No more knee pain. Less back pain. Can climb a flight of stairs without huffing and puffing at the top. It's just been an overall game changer for me. Not to mention it led to a Facebook Group and this Skool group. Which I am extremely thankful for! 🫶 Topical Face Peps- I've been using GHK-Cu and SNAP8 mixed in my serum for over 4 months. I can definitely tell a difference in my skin.I feel like my pores are smaller and lines are not as prominent. Before, any moisturizer would make my face feel so greasy and yuck. I also don't get milia (little white bumps) around my eyes from moisturizer anymore. Lately, I mixed Hyaluronic acid serum, SNAP-8, GHK-Cu, AHK-Cu, and Matrixyl. These peps provide more benefits than any store bought face cream. It's also fun trying out your own science experiment! Especially when you already know it's going to be nothing short of beneficial! ☺️ YAY FOR PEPS!!!!!

@Alina Jones did you notice an immediate benefit with ARA-290 or was this something over time that has helped? I’ve been interested in it and thought there would be a build up or dependency for it to be effective.

I’ve enjoyed my time with Triz. It’s been exactly what I needed to get me started after trying everything else (before discovering peptides). I absolutely love KPV. LOVE it - really helped with inflammation and gut support. I benefited so much from it. AOD was only noticeable after research needed. I am currently using a GHK-CU based serum and moisturizer and I am enjoying the results and transformation to my skins barrier.
