BOOKS
Reading books is vital for brain health, stress reduction, and cognitive development, acting as a "shield" against cognitive decline while enhancing imagination and emotional empathy. It builds vocabulary, improves focus, reduces stress, and fosters deep emotional connection and understanding of new perspectives. What are some of your favorite books, that have helped you grow? Here are my top five (5): 1. The Greatest Miracle in the World by Og Mandino 2. How is THAT Working - A Roadmap From Rat Race to Freedom by @Robert Hollis 3. The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason 4. The Code of the Extraordinary Mind by Vishan Lakhiani 5. If It's Going To Be, It's Up To Me by Robert Schuller

Abraham Lincoln ~ A Quiet Habit..
Abraham Lincoln had a quiet habit that saved him from many regrets. Whenever he felt offended, misunderstood, or treated unfairly, he would immediately sit down and write a letter. He wrote bluntly. He wrote honestly. No filters. No restraint. But here was the discipline: He never sent it. He would fold the paper, place it in a drawer, and walk away. Days later, when his mind was clear, he would reread what he had written. And more often than not, he would think: “If I send this, I will damage more than I repair.” So he destroyed the letter. Not because he lacked courage — but because he understood a simple truth: EMOTION DEMANDS AN INSTANT RELEASE. WISDOM REQUIRES PAUSE. Lincoln refused to let a passing impulse decide his future. He gave clarity the final word. There’s a powerful lesson in that: NOT EVERY THOUGHT NEEDS TO BE SPOKEN. A quick reply may feel strong in the moment — but it can cost far more later. The pause is where self-control becomes real strength. Wise people are not silent out of fear. They are silent by choice. Here are some my favorite quotes by Abraham Lincoln.

SATURDAY---CHOOSING GROWTH OVER COMFORT Life doesn’t usually change because we hope it will. It changes when we quietly realize that staying the same has begun to cost us more than growing ever could. Dreams are gentle, but they are persistent. They keep tapping on our hearts, asking us to trust what we cannot yet see and to move forward before we feel fully prepared. Comfort feels safe. It wraps itself around us in familiarity and routine. But comfort, on its own, does not lead us forward—it keeps us exactly where we are. There comes a sacred moment of clarity when we understand: If I keep choosing what is easy, I will keep receiving what is familiar. Transformation begins when our commitment to what is possible becomes stronger than our attachment to what is comfortable. TODAY'S REFLECTION Where might you be choosing comfort out of habit rather than peace out of trust? PRAYER God, Give us the courage to loosen our grip on what feels safe and strengthen our trust in what You are calling us toward. Help us take the next step—not in fear, but in faith. Amen. Until tomorrow, may you move gently, choose bravely, and trust that growth is unfolding right on time. With love, Grandma Grady

It's a GREAT Day!! 🧸
Some days do not need to be productive to be meaningful. Some days are simply meant to be lived. Sitting by a gentle stream, fishing rod in hand, coffee nearby, this teddy bear embodies a kind of peace many people forget how to access. A great day does not require perfection. It requires presence. Feeling hopeful. Allowing yourself to dream without pressure. Staying grateful even when life feels uncertain. Nature flows without urgency. The water does not rush to be somewhere else. It moves because that is its nature. In that rhythm, there is a lesson. You do not need to force joy. You only need to allow it. Positivity is not pretending everything is perfect. It is choosing to believe that even imperfect days hold value. Gratitude grounds us. It keeps us anchored when plans fail or timelines change. Being thankful does not ignore hardship. It gives us strength to face it without losing ourselves. Today can be a great day simply because you choose to see it that way. Hope is a decision. Peace is a decision. And sometimes, happiness looks exactly like this. Quiet, simple, and deeply enough.
It's a GREAT Day!! 🧸
