Kidney Stone Infection (Klebsiella) - Can One Pass the Stones by Immediately Changing Diet?
@Maurice Daher - A dear friend of mine has been battling an ongoing infection (Klebsiella) for ~2 years now. She is scheduled to undergo a procedure tomorrow whereby the kidney stones will be shocked and broken down so she can pass them. I initiated a Google search and the AI response suggests that this procedure is too dangerous at this immediate time because the current level of her infection in her blood or urine has not been recently updated. AI replied that the ultrasound shockwaves will shatter the stones and cause minor trauma to her kidney tissue and since the kidney stones are heavily concentrated with klebsiella, this drug resistant infection could be forced directly into her bloodstream resulting in septic shock. My friend intends to consult with you after her procedure, but she may not survive the procedure based on the little research I completed. Based on the information above, can you please share whether she can pass her kidney stones in the imminent future if she were to immediately change her entire dietary intake? She told me she has had gout before. I replied "Your bile production is likely low as is your nitric oxide levels". Is this situation one where you can intervene to help her stabilize her condition so that she can eventually pass the stones naturally?

@Maurice Daher My friend shared that her doctor informed her that the stone can't be precisely identified until it is out. It is 7mm in size. Her doctor took an educated guess based on her history. The density suggests it's probably a uric acid struvite type stone. She has reviewed your response multiple times and will be asking all of the questions you outlined when she meets with her doctor next week. You've educated her more than her own doctor has! Our medical industry has collapsed! We must become our own advocates and experts! We can no longer rely on doctors to provide us quality care. 😢

@Maurice Daher - Once again, Maurice, thank you deeply for your detailed response and for providing many crucial and important questions for my friend to present to her doctor. I agree that my comment about the medical establishment was a sweeping generalization. I'm very frustrated by the situation that my dear friend is experiencing as well as what I've also experienced in recent years past. You are 100% correct. Our medical industry does possess good medical practitioners. We just have to sort through and identify those who truly strive to heal their patients by practicing and applying their expertise diligently. Please forgive me for generalizing and implying that the entire industry is filled with incompetent doctors. I've shared your information with my friend. Her doctor will wonder who she has been consulting with based on the knowledgeable and detailed questions she presents! 🤣 It's also possible that he may become defensive. I certainly hope not, but I've experienced "backlash" (as has Deah) when presenting educated questions to physicians. I will share additional information following her appointment. For years now, I've encouraged her to focus on her diet. Her husband eats foods with added sugars. I've explained the ramifications of such. It's just so frustrating to me. My friend is truly scared of her situation. It is my hope that this "scary" episode will finally prompt her into recognizing the importance of what we place in our mouths. She has been retired for ~10 years now. I told her blatantly that she needs to make serious changes if she wants to enjoy the rest of her life. You are amazing, Maurice! So very grateful and appreciative of you and all you do. 🙏🤗 I know you can help my friend become healthier. Once she is recovered, I will assist her in scheduling a consultation with you. I presume it's best that she share all of her recent lab results (both blood and urine) with you prior to her consultation, yes?
Happy Thanksgiving, Maurice!!
@Maurice Daher Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving Day celebration. I (and I believe all other SKOOL classmates will agree with me) are most thankful for you and all the guidance and education you have given us. You also provide me with much joy by sharing your two unbelievably beautiful pups, Duke and Kash! Warms my heart! 🤗 May GOD continue to watch over you, the pups and your family as well as shower you with blessings and good health! 🙏
🧬 Would You Be Interested in a Peptide Educational Series?
Hey everyone, I’m considering adding a full educational series on peptides to the community, and before I start building it, I want to hear from you. Peptides have become incredibly popular, but there is also a lot of hype, confusion, and questionable information surrounding them. Some have meaningful human research behind them, while others are supported primarily by animal studies or early mechanistic evidence. My goal would be to break them down the same way we approach everything else here: biology first, evidence first, ideology last. We could explore peptides such as BPC-157, KPV, GHK-Cu, TB-500/Thymosin Beta-4, PT-141, GLP-1 related peptides, and others, looking at what they do, the pathways they influence, the quality of the human evidence, potential risks, and areas such as cardiovascular health, metabolism, recovery, body composition, sexual health, and longevity. This would be an educational series, not simply “here's a peptide, take this.” I want you to understand the biology well enough to separate promising science from marketing. Would this be something you'd like me to add to the community? And which peptide or area would you want me to cover first? Drop your thoughts below. 👇 Eat Based On Your Biology, Not Ideology™

Wishing you safe and smooth travels back 🙏 to your heavenly land far away from the dense metropolitan city that you may currently be surrounded with. Who gets to ride shotgun with you on the way home? Duke or Kash? 🐶😁 Hopefully, they are both well behaved during the entire road trip.

@Maurice Daher Thank you, Maurice, for sharing this update. Goodness! What an ordeal! I can only imagine how the dogs might destroy your home if they decided to chase the bat. 🦇🐶 Grateful that the bat decided to finally leave and you and the pups are able to return to normality. Please consider setting an "Out of Office" assistant message that you're on the road traveling for a family wedding and you'll return on ______________. All of us SKOOL members know how dedicated you are to us, but we also understand that you deserve rest and time off from the many, many demands we pose upon you. You're very hardworking and although we will miss your ongoing responsiveness, we understand that you need to take time to enjoy life and your family. Grateful that you'll all safe. Wishing you safe and smooth travels to Calgary in the days ahead. 🙂
