LOTM Day is Nigh! Sep 25! Aka Thursday!
Hi all! Would you like to plan to post something this Thursday in honor of the day? I've created a new discussion category called "LOTM Day 2025 Tradition." I'm new to this Skool group thing, and we got started just a couple weeks before LOTM Day this year. If you'd like to participate in the holiday, please post your version or even the tiniest snippet in the tradition folder on Thursday. Some ideas that I've recommended to students this week: -Just your five-note-roll -Any 5-note roll practice step -Jig bowing rhythm on one open string -Any part of your A minor scale -A photo of your home viewing set up and snacks to watch Last of the Mohicans Then Friday we start prepping for next year! ;-) Here's a step by step video for practicing five note rolls.

Thank you, Graham. I remember when Jenny first started touting the LOTM piece and I was smitten. I am grateful that she posted a doable arrangement. At the time, I said I have got to play this. It has taken years to get to this point, and I like to keep it in my current repertoire.

Well, it's been a while since I have worked on LOTM. I have the Taylor Davis arrangement (TCF Music Publishing) I got from MusicNotes online, and slurred double-stops start at measure 50 that are interspersed with ones bowed with detache strokes through measure 62. They are not complicated but to keep in tempo, I find it necessary to play most of the double-stops as detache.
