Is it possible to 4X one’s portfolio in 12 short months? Well, let’s look at my results since February 2023. My “Normal Portfolio” grew from a modest $11,000 to a very respectable $45,076 by the end of 2023. That is a staggering 4,1 X or 410% growth in 11 months!! And all this by just being patient and adding to my portfolio on a regular basis through DCA and new Private Sales (I didn’t participate in all of them). Now, let’s look at what sort of Portfolio Growth I saw in 2024. I started the year with a portfolio balance of $45,076 and my now Whale Portfolio is worth $122,132 as of 31 December 2024. That is a WHOPPING 2,71X or 271% Growth in my portfolio. Sadly, the last 3 weeks of 2024 saw the Bitcoin price drop by around 15% which slowed my portfolio growth somewhat during this period. Once again, I continuously added to my bags through DCA and participated in most of the Private Sales (I missed 1 or 2). It is anyone’s guess as to how long the current Bull Market will last, but the pundits tell us that we can see the market reach a peak around mid-2025, or even later, depending on who your following. So, I am predicting at least another 100% growth in my portfolio by mid-year (I’m keeping it very conservative here). This will mean a Whale Portfolio value of around $250,000 or a massive R4,683,000 at current conversion rates. Then, it will possibly be time to start taking some profits following my 70/30 Rule. This means harvesting around R1,4 Million to be “spent” while leaving the balance of 70% to work for me. The Bitcoin price has already starting making moves to the upside – from around $92 500 to $97 600 at the time of writing. So, are we seeing a 3X or 4X this year?? Let’s make 2025 a GREAT Year…. For the 𝐑𝟏𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 starting investment, your portfolio could potentially skyrocket to 𝐑𝟑𝟏𝟐,𝟓𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 in 5 years, and an impressive R12,500,000 in just 3 years. These figures highlight the importance of having a long-term view. It’s not about quick gains but steady growth over 3 to 5 years. If you're willing to invest wisely with purpose and live modestly, you can build a "Whale" or "Freedom" Portfolio that could set you up for life.
