What does everyone do to clear their mind when feeling overwhelmed?
For me, it’s journaling. I get everything down on paper, which helps me organise my thoughts and create a plan of action. I see journaling like this: when your mind is full and everything feels overwhelming, it’s like all your washing is tangled together in the tumble dryer. Journaling is taking it all out, folding it into neat piles, and putting everything back where it belongs. That’s exactly how my mind feels afterwards. I also love yoga, meditation, and walking in nature, they all help me come back to myself. I have attached some weekly prompts if you would like to give it a try, you can learn so much about yourself! Let me know how you get on!
“Your worth isn’t something you earn. It’s something you remember.”
As a psychotherapist who specialises in building self-worth, I wanted to share this Monday motivational reminder: You were born worthy. You don’t have to earn it or be perfect. Remember your worth, don’t chase it. 🥰
🐲The Bullet We Don't Have to Dodge
I used to be very self-conscious of my physique because I was too Shredded. No joke. My teachers would compliment me when I was competing at events. Friends would tell me I looked crazy in the locker room. But I was worried that people would label me attention-seeking. So I wore long sleeves and hoodies. But over the years, my perspective changed. I didn't care about it any more. I started to wear sleeveless tops when I went to the gym. Then, I stared to do track work without a shirt. Before long, I was making artistic videos displaying my physique. @Jason Olofsen let me know if my video looks okay :) I realized that my physique is a part of my identity that I did not need to hide any more. And if some people think it's weird to have a super Shredded body, so be it. I've got people I met in real life asking me what's the point of physical training. I would have given lectures when I was much younger. But now I just don't care. This is my life and I love physical training and movement. And today, a friend of mine shared this matrix clip to me. Mr. Anderson asked, "You are telling me that I can dodge bullets?" Morpheus says "No Neo. I'm trying to tell you when you are ready, you won't have to." What is the Bullet that you used to fear but one day you realized that you didn't even have to dodge? I'm very grateful to have met people on Skool who support me on my journey.

Hello. I am a psychotherapist, and whenever I have a client who worries about what other people think of them, it almost always comes back to the beliefs they hold about themselves. It is very rarely about what other people actually think. It is much more about what you think about yourself. When we have experiences in our life, especially negative experiences, they create beliefs for us about who we are. Beliefs like I am not good enough, I am not interesting, I am not worthy, I am a difficult person, and so on. Then, as adults, those beliefs turn into fears, and they can play a huge role in social anxiety and in worrying about what others think. Your mind is trying to protect you. It tells you that other people are thinking these things so you can do something to protect yourself in case they are, even though it is not true. That is why I would always recommend working on your beliefs about yourself.

It is about what you believe to be true about you, which of course is not actually true! Hope that helps
