Just loved our first get-together on Zoom
Thank you so much!!!! I loved the energy, the laughter, the serious moments and the prospects of doing this again plus adding mini-coverages of our respective knowledge-treasures!!! Much love

So lovely to meet everyone 💚 Opening up all these knowledge treasure chests is exciting indeed, Ulli! Looking forward to our next meet already. Have a lovely day everyone x PS My brother bought me a subscription to Mr B's Emporium in Bath for Christmas, they send you a hand-picked book each month based on your preferences and my February book is going to be poetry so I might be able to add something interesting to the poetry chat at next session Francesca 🙂
Happy Monday everyone!
Just wondering what' everyone is up to this week? 🍀 What are you looking forward to? 🌸 Where might you grow? 🌷 Where are you planning to stretch even just a bit beyond your comfort zone? I've hit the ground running this week...and it's looking colourful! Corporate business proposals, recording content for IT, Thursday is IT LIVE Love and Relationships Masterclass (bring pen and paper - no tissues needed 😂), Coffee-o-clock with all of you, corporate emotional intelligence training, Leadership coaching 1-1 and then, somehow, get to the Apple shop to sort out my frozen screen on my iphone... Can you guess what I'm looking forward to the most? Let's hear about your week... ❤️

@Francesca Proudman I saw this the other day, made me chuckle. I don’t know how I’d keep up with my dog’s wagging, he’s too happy 😆

@Ulli Schaub I shall go forth and channel my inner samurai 💪🏼 I think Fran is also right, there is some excitement because I haven’t been well enough to exercise for a while so it’s big and positive change. Yes, really looking forward tomorrow, it’s such a nice idea ☕️
Smiling is infectious
Popping this is in the chat as I just mentioned it in Fran's pm session on IT. My Grandad used to recite it when I was little, happy memories for me and a lovely sentiment for us all to carry into the weekend. Sending everyone a big virtual smile 🙂 Smile, Spike Milligan Smiling is infectious You catch it like the flu When someone smiled at me today I started smiling too I walked around the corner And someone saw me grin When he smiled I realised I had passed it on to him I thought about the smile And then realised its worth A single smile like mine Could travel round the earth So if you feel a smile begin Don’t leave it undetected Start an epidemic And get the world infected
Ladies, are you free at 4pm today?
If so, why not hop on to Insight Timer and join me for my Friday live session where we are looking at inspiration for the weekend AND I'll be giving oracle card readings... It's light and fun...❤️. Just click the link below or access through the calendar tab. https://insig.ht/ltbOF46Pl0b

I’m hoping to make it - I love these sessions, such positive way to end the week and start the weekend. I’m already looking forward to this week’s words 😄
What can Martial Arts teach us...
Practicing some Martial Arts for... oh my... such a looong time now, I have to admit: I did not start with all of my heart... I was hesitant. Isn't that a way of being aggressive, fighting and so on? All that what in my heart of hearts I did not want to encourage in me and others! At all. Finding contact to Budo (Japanese Martial Arts) was a bit different and in a way funny, I guess. I went to the gym for a Jazz Dance Class, which was cancelled and while waiting for others to talk over what to do instead, I met a guy carrying a "long stick", wrapped in a beautiful cloth. This guy asked me if I would not like to join his class... long story, cut short: Not only became he later my boy friend (oops), I got introducec to Kyudo (Japanese Bow (the "long stick") Shooting), later I took on Kenjitsu (Sword Fighting Art) and Jiu-Jitsu. If at all, I became less "aggressive", more focused, more relaxed about things and myself... and stronger, quicker in my decisions... flexible... and so on. So the Way of the Budoka and similar ways of finding us in our Body and Mind and Psyche makes us humble, not small, stronger, not more standoffish. And I encourage especially girls and women to try out, if this could be something helpful for them. Not predominantly as self-defense techniques, that is very important, too, yet a totally different story to be told, but to find yourself. Has anyone in our beautiful community any expediences in this direction? I would be curious... Thank you!!!

My only experience with martial arts thus far is my son regularly putting me in a chokehold to practice his ju-jitsu. I’m always sad because it starts off with me thinking he’s giving me a hug and then I realise 😆 While can’t speak for myself, ju-jitsu has been an incredible experience for my son - discipline, learning to fail and keep going, building community and friendship, mastery, accomplishment, performing under pressure in competitions, and most recently learning to coach and mentor others. It has been very inspiring to watch him and been a huge motivator for me to move more (not least so I can defend myself from the grapples, ha).
