Use the stumbling blocks to climb higher and get a better view!

Today I celebrate not just another birthday, but the incredible faithfulness of God over the past 50 years. As I look back, I see His hand in every season. In the victories. In the disappointments. In the waiting. In the unexpected blessings. There were moments I didn't understand His plan, but looking back now, I can see He was preparing me for this very season. At 50, I don't feel like I'm slowing down. I feel like I'm stepping into the purpose God has been preparing me for all along. I'm filled with gratitude. I'm filled with peace. And I'm filled with excitement for everything He still has in store. The best part? I know the Author of my story has already written the next chapter. So today I celebrate His goodness, His grace, and His promises. Here's to trusting Him even more, dreaming bigger, serving faithfully, and walking boldly into this new season. "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans." — Proverbs 16:3

This weekend, a friend told me how she took Psalm 118, placed her own name in certain places, and declared it over herself. I did that; you should too. God is a personal God, and we need to remember that His Word is for us. I think we often read Scripture and forget that we are the main character in God's story - we are the apple of His eye! We are His inheritance! All the promises in the bible are for us! The below became such a powerful personal declaration for me. I have printed it out and put it as a note on my computer screen. 🔥5 Shenita called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered her and set her in a broad place. 🔥6 The Lord is on Shenita’s side; she will not fear. What can man do to Shenita? 🔥14 The Lord is Shenita’s strength and song, and He has become her salvation. 🔥17 Shenita shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. 🔥19 Open to Shenita the gates of righteousness; She will go through them, and she will praise the Lord. 🔥21 Shenita will praise You, for You have answered her and have become her salvation. 🔥24 This is the day the Lord has made; Shenita will rejoice and be glad in it. 🔥28 You are Shenita’s God, and she will praise You; You are her God, she will exalt You. 🔥29 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! Last night I was up until midnight trying to figure out this anxious feeling I had. And as I lay there, the Holy Spirit told me clearly that this morning, I had to set time apart and listen to Him! I had to fast for the morning and focus on Him only! This morning I did just that, and He spoke to me very clearly today! "Go back to your first love, make the main thing the main thing again, go back to your original "why", and ignore the noise. Do what I called you to do, and I will do the rest." I started this journey to serve people, and slowly I lost sight of that and focused more on trying to do what I was trusting God to do, instead of doing what He was trusting me to do. So today I am refreshing! This page has a new, fresh look, and I am going to focus on adding the value that this community was meant to give. I really want to encourage you all to become active in the community with me and invite people who you think would like to join us. And also, if this is not for you, please don't worry; if you want to leave the community, I really won't be offended at all, we are not all on the same journey and that is ok.
