We often resist things we fear might constrain us because we believe that freedom means the unbridled exercise of our free will. If we have been subject to circumstances that have violated what should have been sacred privacy or agency, one of the effects is that we grow to deeply resent control. We resist anything that we perceive will restrict our sense of freedom- even to the detriment of our own good. Relationships that may otherwise bring healing and life-affirming bonds look like prisons. Routine feels like entrapment. We become convinced that the wild horse that is our rebellious spirit is the source of our personal power. The reality, however, is that not learning to tame this aspect of our psyche will be a liability in the pursuit of our own happiness. We will create tornadoes that decimate what we attempt to build and call them natural disasters. We will grow to distrust ourselves and consequently never seek anything that requires personal responsibility. In actuality, true freedom is congruency within our beings built . It is the quiet sense of peace we build in ourselves by living in the way we know we are capable of. We sleep soundly and are able to dream cosmically. Freedom is releasing the weight of injustices that were thrust upon us and allowing ourselves to once again surrender to what will guide our souls to higher ground. It is allowing ourselves to be lovingly bound to the responsibilities that nurture our character and the undertakings that lead to our personal expansion. Without this internal surrender, we can never honor the routines that would create self-trust. We will always fall short because we will subconsciously refuse to activate our free will consistently toward the goals we set. And without self-trust, we will only ever feel comfortable living lives that do not challenge us. challenge us. Trusting in oneself means that you believe in what you say and what you intend. You are able to soothe the revolts of a wounded soul and gently reassure it that you only intend to lead it toward an expanded and more enriched existence. Consequently, you forge an ability to show up in a directed, aligned, and consistent way; because you understand that accountability and integrity to self are paramount to creating your most beautiful life. You reach higher heights because you are able to channel the force of your spirit into the manifestation of your deepest desires.
