Lesson 3 💬 Discussion Prompt
👉 Which testing type do you think is the most important for preventing production issues, and why?
I think both Functional and Regression Testing is equally important. As a QA, you want to ensure that the app, software, or website is functioning at an optimal level. However, if any changes were made due to defects identified during functional testing, you want to test the entire system as a whole. This is where regression testing comes in. If there are any defects identified during that stage, the lifecycle should be restarted until optimal functioning is achieved.

👉 Which SDLC phase do you think QA has the most impact in, and why?

Although QA is involved throughout the entire lifecycle of software development, I think QA has the most impact in the Design phase. Once you can identify what the potential risks are, it would be easier to know what needs to be tested.

Hi my name is Lavonia. Been looking for an entry way into tech. Currently in the construction field but looking to pivot into more of a remote, less strenuous setting. Was browsing Skool and came across this community. Excited to be here to learn.
@Chantal Brown Thank you for the welcome. Happy to be here. I'm looking forward to the journey. 😊
Lesson 1 💬 Discussion Prompt
👉 In your own words, why do you think QA is critical to both the business and the end user?
0 likes • 5d
QA is critical to both the business and the end user because in order for a business to grow and be trustworthy, they need to ensure that their system is operating at an optimal level. As someone who uses websites and apps on a daily, user functionality is important. If a website possesses bugs, or is prone to crashing, why would I want to visit it. It makes me question the business's ethics and integrity. If the business is not willing to invest in ensuring their website, app or software is functioning properly, why would I patronize it.
