I pulled this card today and it made me think how, oftentimes, I am reminded that the road we travel through our existence is a spiral. And though we encounter the same things again and again, we never encounter them the same, as we ourselves are changed through our experiences. The very shape of the universal is a spiral, nature moves in seasons, healing takes us back through the same patterns again and again. Birth, life, birth, death. I'm curious to hear about how the spiral makes you feel, and what your encounters with it have been?

Sharing my piece from the Ignition Party! 🔥 After one and a half years I finally received the message from Goddess Persephone that our time together in the Underworld was done. There were a few lessons I had yet to integrate, and I was instructed to pull cards. The reading could not have been clearer. I wept from a deep place—not grief alone, but something more profound. A truth had been revealed. I have died enough. I have been reborn enough. I have dug my hands into the deep soil of my very being till my fingernails bled, and traversed the darkness of the cave. It was time to stop digging, and time to take up the lantern to return to the world as this version of me. Still imperfect, but more whole that I have ever been.

Looking forward to Writing Fire with everyone! I am from Richmond, VA and write with Valley on Thursday mornings in the Writing Fire Group. It is a part of my life, and my writing life, that I love. Hello all! I’ve been dipping my toes in the writing pool ever since my 7th grade English teacher introduced me to daily journaling. By then I had already dug my heels into the idea that I was a visual artist - and by 8 years old I KNEW I would not be a commercial artist but only ever create from my heart for myself- and see what happens from that. Fast forward 50-60 years and I’m still doing all that …and have been enjoying writing with Valley on and off for almost 10 years (?!) I keep thinking I’m ready to wade further into the writing waters, but so far I’m still just dipping my toes into morning pages, journaling, and some fits and starts of SFDs. Maybe the fire will help me journey in a little deeper. Happy to join you all in this beautiful space Valley has created.
