Let’s start our day remembering who we are.
Father God, This morning we pause and remember that our identity is not rooted in our mistakes, our exhaustion, or the hard days of parenting. Before we were parents, we were Your children. Remind us today who You called us to be. Strengthen our confidence in the calling You placed on our lives. When doubt tries to creep in, remind us that You chose us to raise these children. Help us not to parent from fear, insecurity, or comparison. Teach us to trust You with our children, with our homes, and with the responsibility You have given us. Today we declare: We are not failing..... we are learning. We are not alone....God is guiding us. We are not inadequate....we are equipped for this calling. Strengthen us today as parents, leaders, and examples for our children. In Jesus’ name, Amen. If you're standing in this today, comment: “God chose me for this assignment.”

God chose me for this assignment. 🙏🏼
I feel like I’m failing as a parent.
I’ve noticed something many parents in this community have said lately. “I feel like I’m failing as a parent.” And I want to ask a real question tonight. What standard are you using to measure that? In school it’s clear. You take a test. If you score below a certain number, you fail. But parenting doesn’t come with a grading scale. So if you feel like you’re failing… What is the standard you’re measuring yourself against? Is it: • social media families that look perfect? • how you were raised? • mistakes you made this week? • the behavior of your child? • something God is showing you? Let’s talk honestly tonight. What makes you feel like you’re failing as a parent?

For me, it would have to be a mixture of “mistakes you made this week? And the behavior of your child?”. I just feel as though I am fighting my flesh to want more of Jesus and His leading for how to handle parenting and not be so easily led to taking it into my own hands.

@Ashley Lunnon amen! Hallelujah!!
When your child makes a mistake…
Do you focus more on punishment or teaching? Both have their place, but sometimes we discipline without helping them understand why the behavior matters. Ask yourself “Did I teach my child something today… or just correct them?” Growth starts with awareness.

@Javonne Harris thank you for sharing! It feels refreshing not to feel alone in this. He will help us! He’s not done with us yet! 💕
What is one behavior your child is struggling with right now?
Maybe it's attitude. Maybe it's listening. Maybe it's screens. Maybe it's lying. Maybe it's anger. Drop it in the comments What’s the real struggle in your house right now?

@Ashley Lunnon I have an 8 almost 9 year old daughter, and 6 almost 7 year old son.
Let’s be real for a moment.
When your child messes up… Do you usually correct them calmly or do you react emotionally first and then regret it later? Parenting will test your patience like nothing else. Be honest in the comments: Calm correction or emotional reaction?

Usually my initial response is emotional, but sometimes I catch myself and react more calmly.

@Ashley Lunnon thank you for saying that! Denying the flesh is so tough! But God gives us everything we need to succeed!
