I’m Laura, I’m unsure if we’re supposed to do introductions via this post, or create a new thread? I am very much a noob when it comes to online chats, discussion boards or forums - and mostly because of severe anxiety about not knowing if I’m posting in the right place, on the right topic… looking dumb by posting accidental duplicate threads, and needing to get mods involved… (literally happened to me last week - reminding myself why I have not engaged in discussions online for anything over the years… Even on topics I have huge interest in.) Another fear… Being the first to post anything anywhere when I do engage… I often wait for others to post, almost as a clarification that I am where I should be, and have ques from others conversations to build from for replies… So… I have clearly signed up for the right course. Let’s crank that anxiety to 11 and jump in. Again, I’m Laura, I’m a 3D graphics and digital artist. I've spent the last 12 years working out of my house for a company in Edmonton - also another reason for signing up. To get an overall tune up with communication/social skills, that I miss out on when not working in public. I’m a huge nerd, I play video games (if I ever have the time lol) World of Warcraft is my go to, but my favourite of all time is Half Life, and Half Life 2. The story, the character building and interactions in that game blew me away in the 90s, and I will always hold out hope for HL3. I’m also into Toy Photography. The skill of being able to capture an image with traditional effects to tell a story in 1 shot - I love that. That’s a bit about me - I’mma post this and immediately run from my PC.
