I wanted to know if Schwab has a Cash Management Account (like a savings account at a bank but with higher interest) like Fidelity does. I called Schwab and was told the closest thing to a savings account at a bank but with higher interest is Schwab Prime Advantage Money Fund. In such an account you sell stock to access your money without capital gains. You are only taxed on interest not any profits made from the stock.

Opening a Schwab account
When opening the account at Schwab it says on the application you can get checks and a debit card. Can the checks and debit card be used on a retirement account or where?

Opening a checking account at Schwab. I received in the mail on Tuesday, 13th, the attached that is re opening a checking account at Schwab and the benefits you get over having a checking account at the bank:

@Jackie Gardner Your welcome Jackie. I was just talking to a Schwab about something similar, and a few days later I got that info from Schwab in the mail. I intend to open a checking account soon with Schwab.
