Well, today I finally got off the research/procrastination/fear treadmill and actually did My FIRST EVER transaction with ... Vanguard. I was a bit intimidated because Vanguard's environment doesn't seem as welcoming as Chas Schwab, but I plowed through and made the transaction. I've already opened a Chas Schwab Account so for now as a beginner CS is where I will continue educating myself and becoming more confident.

Hi Wealth Pack, When I opened up the Charles Schwab account, there was a warning to be aware of deceptive leads. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but I got an email from someone claiming to be an 'Independent Client Service Specialist from Schwab'. I'm just wondering how much information he is privy to.

When opening the account at Schwab it says on the application you can get checks and a debit card. Can the checks and debit card be used on a retirement account or where?
