Motivation needed 😖
The past few weeks have been so hard I don’t feel myself. I thought I was getting somewhere smack in the face and I’m back to square one. Trying to be positive and pick my self up. I want to be positive as much as possible and I want to socialise, better myself 🤯 how do you get yourselves motivated ?🫶🏻

Stay connected. Find your purpose. Reach out like your doing. And live one day at a time. Change your perspective. Positive growth mindset!
What has been your 7%
I read somewhere today that we are 7% into the year 2025 already.. as a mathematician this shocked me as we are only on 26th January.. so I had to check it was correct For some 7% might not seem a lot.. but for me.. if 7% is 26 days.. we will soon be at 100%. Now I’m not wishing for the time to go away, I feel as this is the last weekend in January it’s a good time to reflect. Would love to hear what you have accomplished so far… What has been your 7%?

Such great perspective. 7% of the year lived. Never thought of it like that! Low key kind of turned on😊. I went to my 2nd AA convention since my 5months of sobriety. Met a bunch of new friends. Have more clarity on my life’s purpose. Embraced by recovery. Learning to live, love and let God. Enjoying my peace and serenity. Good share! God bless!
It didn’t disappoint yesterday, recommend everyone listens to this!
My ex has an alcohol and drug addiction, and my brother in law died age 27 due to this. I teach my teenagers why you don’t need to try these things even once, it’s so damaging! But these visuals and explanations are very easy to consume.📈 This sort of information should be taught in senior schools!! This will be more beneficial / life changing than some of the current subjects for ensuring children grow up with the right information to make better choices and hopefully not become a statistic. 🙏🏼 On a lighter note, did you know exercise raises your dopamine and continues to raise it following exercise for hours without the hangover / come down extreme on the brain that people have with alcohol and drugs 🙌🏼🏃‍♀️

HAVING FUN YET?
. . . we aren't a glum lot. If newcomers could see no joy or fun in our existence, they wouldn't want it. We absolutely insist on enjoying life. We try not to indulge in cynicism over the state of the nations, nor do we carry the world's troubles on our shoulders. ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, p. 132 When my own house is in order, I find the different parts of my life are more manageable. Stripped from the guilt and remorse that cloaked my drinking years, I am free to assume my proper role in the universe, but this condition requires maintenance. I should stop and ask myself, Am I having fun yet? If I find answering that question difficult or painful, perhaps I'm taking myself too seriously—and finding it difficult to admit that I've strayed from my practice of working the program to keep my house in order. I think the pain I experience is one way my Higher Power has to get my attention, coaxing me to take stock of my performance. The slight time and effort it takes to work the program—a spot-check inventory, for example, or the making of amends, whatever is appropriate — are well worth the effort. A.A. Thought for the Day
In the beginning, you want to get sober, but you're helpless, so you turn to a Power greater than yourself and by trusting in that Power, you get the strength to stop drinking. From then on, you want to keep sober, and that's a matter of reeducating your mind. After a while, you get so that you really enjoy simple, healthy, normal living. You really get a kick out of life without the artificial stimulus of alcohol. All you have to do is to look around at the members of any A.A. group and you will see how their outlook has changed. Is my outlook on life changing? Meditation for the Day I will never forget to say thank you to God, even on the grayest days. My attitude will be one of humility and gratitude. Saying thank you to God is a daily practice that is absolutely necessary. If a day is not one of thankfulness, the practice has to be repeated until it becomes so. Gratitude is a necessity for those who seek to live a better life. Prayer for the Day I pray that gratitude will bring humility. I pray that humility will bring me to live a better life.

With a new found faith, glory and help from the rooms of recovery. I thank fellowship and outlets like this that support the addict in me.
