Passion VS. Talent? 💛⭐
Yesterday I heard a quote "Don't follow your passion, follow your talent" (Scott Galloway) It got me thinking whether this applies to communities. In careers and business, I tend to think talent matters more than passion. With communities as a business model, I think there's an opportunity for passion to come first. Can one have a passion, but not be talented at it? Yes. Can one have a talent, but not be passionate about it? Also yes. So I'd love to know, with regards to your Skool community, what matters more?

I changed my answer to talent. I've worked with horses every since I was a kid. I never thought that would be the way I would make a living. I went to college on a rodeo scholarship for four years. Still worked with horses. I kept riding bulls and bucking horses until I decided it was time to do something else. The whole time I never stopped working with horses. And now I'm still doing it and working with horses and people, clinics, 1on1s, and online. So maybe I was passionate about horses first, then became talented at it. I've never thought of it in that way.Thats cool. Thanks Sam and Sal.
Do You Set Goals — or Just Hope Things Work Out?
If I’m starting something new, I usually begin with a 6-month goal. Then I break that goal down into monthly goals and weekly goals. I want my weekly goals to add up to my monthly goal. And I want my monthly goals to keep moving me toward my 6-month goal. That helps me stay focused. It also helps me know whether I’m making real progress or just staying busy. Small weekly wins add up. And when the weekly goals are clear, the bigger goal feels a lot more possible. What goal are you working toward over the next 6 months or year?

I'm sure I will be changing it a little. But I'm happy with it right now.

@Sal Frances Thank you
We are now "Template Skool" 🤗
Quick update and thank you to my OGs who have been here since I launched "Skool Brand Kit" almost a year ago. Yes, that was the first original name 😆 Skool Brand Kit 👉 Skool Template Club 👉 The Template Tribe 👉 Template Skool 🤗 😵‍💫 I've taken you on a Skool safari of twists and turns, but happy to let you know the focus of this community is templates for Skoolers. No failures, just lessons and natural business evolution, and Skool is where we share it 💛 Who else has made a major pivot with their Skool? 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️ Would love you to share it

I'm finally fixing to get things going. I've been working hard getting Horseman Rising ready. I'm excited. This is going to be fun. Thanks to the awesome support, Sal takes care of us. I'm happy to be part of Template Skool. Unless Sal changes the name again. 😂
