As we all are collectors, perhaps it is also fun to show your latest purchase (and the reason for the purchase should you want to tell it). Of course as I start this topic, I will go first. I just won two champion festival cards at auction. Both in PSA9 and both cards are Korean. Why Korean? Basically the English and Japanese cards are so expensive, that they are out of my league. And yes they are a better investment, but I just wanted to add a version of these cards to my collection and the language is not important.

My most recent purchase is this mew v from fusion strike. Got it after this poll :)
Mew V (FST 251) - Beautiful and still affordable. Buy or pass?
I'm thinking about getting this card: Mew V (FST 251) I really like the art, the price is still quite affordable when you compare it to other alt arts, especially with a popular Pokemon like Mew. Also Fusion Strike (the set this card is from) was almost released 2 years ago, which is usually a big checkpoint for a price increase as reprint possibilities become almost 0 and stocks get lower and lower. Why do you guys think this card is still relatively affordable compared to other alt arts that have been growing in price a lot more. Am I the only one who likes this card 😅? Or are people overlooking the potential of this card? Not sure, thought I would ask what you guys think.

Introduction
Hi everyone, hope everyone is doing alright! I am 20 years old and i am currently studying to be a watchmaker. I have a passion for traveling and cars (especially the ones from Stuttgart) . Recently i got back into Pokemon after a friend reminded me of the many wonderful times we had on the playground. The Pikachu that i attached is a card that my dad recently pulled after i handed him the booster pack, and it reminds me from when i was young that he would bring every week something from the toy store near his work to lighten my day!

@Niels Draps Welcome Niels! What's the reason behind not buying singles (besides it being a lot less fun than opening packs :P)

@Myrte de Goede Love this one, luckily bought it a while back when it was still a bit cheaper
Fun to watch: One of the rarest Pokemon cards currently on live auction
It's the Trophy Kangaskhan in a PSA 10 (picture attached). This is by far one of the rarest and most valuable Pokémon cards out there. There are only 12 PSA 10 copies in the world. One of these recently sold for a $170.000! It's currently being auctioned online, with a $80,000 bid as I'm posting this and 1 week left on the auction. This card was awarded back in 1998 during the Family Event Tournament in Japan. You could only obtain this card at that specific tournament 25 years ago. You competed with your parent (that's why they chose Kangaskhan as it's the Pokémon with a baby). I added a picture of the tournament as well. If someone ever asks why collecting Pokémon cards is cool, stories like these always get people to go like this: 😵 Pretty amazing! PS: If anyone wants sell their house and use their mortgage to get this card, you have my full support 😂
