Fly Fishing & Traditional Bowhunting
Do you fly fish? Have you ever thought about it trying out traditional archery or learning to hunt with a recurve or longbow? The two share similar process and qualities. Beyond fly fishing, old school heritage skill sets matter, and they all connect you to the same path that bow hunting does with a recurve or longbow bladesmithing, bush crafting -woodworking and many other skills relate to this as well. Throw a comment below if you have other processes and skills that relate back to traditional archery we’d love to hear about them!

A little research
Doing a little bit of thinking and research. Id really appreciate it if everyone drops a comment with your draw length, the actual weight you shoot and your preferred point weight. If you shoot wood arrows, what spine range do you use?

👉 What Do You Wish Someone Had Told You?
What's the one piece of advice you wish you'd gotten when you first picked up a traditional bow? Could be about form. Could be about mindset. Could be something your dad or granddad told you that stuck. I'll start: "The work IS the point."... That one's been drilled into my head and I've seen it lived out firsthand. Whether it's the podcast, the courses, or showing up here daily, doing the work...more importantly....who you become through that process Now your turn. Drop your one piece of advice below. Let's build a thread of wisdom the new guys can find. 👇 -Jenn

Well I can’t necessarily say I wasn’t told but the one thing I had wished I had listened to would have been don’t over bow myself. My first longbow as a adult was 63@28 and i became pretty proficient with it but my journey would have been way easier if I had listened to the guys I was shooting with when i started.
🚀 What I've Noticed...
I spend a lot of time reading through the posts in here... even when I'm not commenting. And over the last few weeks, I've noticed something: there are some of you who show up every single day. You post your setups. You comment on other people's wins. You ask questions that help everyone learn. That's what makes a community work. Not the person at the top, the people who show up for each other. So I want to call out a few members I've noticed lately who are carrying this place forward: 👉 @Colton Deline @Jarrod Floyd @Ken Borst @Reg Tanner @Wes McElravy @Joe Daniels @Aaron Benware @Kelsey Holts @Kris Kok @Bruce Thornton @Shane Baker @Lance Martin @Bryce McCormick @Gary Harris If you see this and you haven't posted in a while - no pressure. But know this: we see you, and we're glad you're here. Drop a comment if you've been just taking in the community and finally want to say hi. 👇 Jenn

đź‘‹ Hey everyone!...I'm Jenn, Grant's wife
Hey everyone - I'm Jenn. Some of you know me as the person who replies to your emails or handles the orders. Most of you probably just know Grant. And that's how it should be he's the heart of The Ethical Predator. But I wanted to introduce myself properly because this community is a two-person operation, and I want you to know who else is behind the scenes. I run the business side of things here. I handle the operations, the shipping, the support, the scheduling, and everything that makes it possible for Grant to do what he does best - teaching, coaching, hunting, and creating content. I'm not a traditional bowhunter myself BUT I am passionate about this mission. I've watched Grant pour his heart into this community for years, and I've seen the messages you send - the breakthrough shots, the first deer, the moments where something clicked. That's why I do what I do. So here's my promise to you... I'm going to start showing up more in here. Not trying to teach you how to shoot - that's Grant's job. But to connect, to celebrate your wins, to share what's going on behind the brand, and to make sure this community feels like the place it's meant to be. I'll start with this... 👉 What's the one thing you're most proud of so far this year, hunting-related or not? Drop it in the comments. I want to know what this community is achieving. Jenn
