I’ve been a writing coach for a dual credit student this semester in his writing and today I get to go see him present his research to judges. So excited to support his hard work!! 👏👏 that’s not what I plan to coach in my business but the opportunity landed in my lap.

Better Question May 1
We often live like we have decades ahead of us… but the truth is, none of us really know. I saw a post this morning from someone who lost his sister to cancer at 48. It stopped me for a second. Not in a fear-based way… just a reminder. A reminder to live a little more intentionally. A little more honestly. A little more now. Today’s Better Question: If you found out you had six months to live… what would you do differently than you’re doing right now?

I don’t know that much would change about my schedule or tasks. I’m not doing it perfectly but I am working on all the things I’d want to be doing. What I think I would change is how I respond to annoying things. I would hope I’d let go of annoyance quickly and grow in graciousness.

I’m excited to have hit the gym 2 days in a row. I used to do every other day but have recently chosen to do M-F

@Stacey Anderson I realized it was hard to have a different kind of morning every other day. It felt like I was being pulled back and forth. There was a time when getting to the gym at all was hard but now it was harder to feel the laziness of the “off mornings” - and I read once that we get to choose our struggle. I chose the struggle of waking up at the same time everyday instead of the struggle of ignoring what I knew I wanted (consistency).

Oh man so many small things. I would say for today - doing 30 min of admin (it can stack up on me if I’m not careful).

@Stacey Anderson good question. I had to be gone all morning which is when I typically tackle admin stuff on Mondays so I am going to start at 1 (after lunch) and set a 30min timer and be free from the admin world by 130 no matter how much I get done! Just gonna hyper focus. Headphones in and going down the list: Transactions on bank app, creating grad invite for my son, sending emails, updating transcripts and that’s probably as far as I’ll get! ✅💪🏻
