Today during work I felt a sharp pain in my wrist. Nothing dramatic but it made me pause. In our profession we use our hands all day every day. Repetitive movements pressure speed and tension all add up. And very often we normalize pain instead of listening to it. I want to say this clearly. Pain is not something we should ignore or push through. It does not mean something is wrong with you. It does not mean you are weak or doing a bad job. It simply means your body is asking for attention. Everyone’s situation is different. That is why there is no one size fits all solution and why seeing a professional when something hurts is so important. Our hands are our career. Taking care of them is not optional. It is part of being a professional. If you have ever felt discomfort pain or tension while working you are not alone. Please be kind to yourself and do not ignore the signs 🤍 If this resonates with you feel free to share your thoughts below or simply leave a 🤍 so others know they are not alone either.
When I first started doing nails I used to get bad cramps and my wrist was stiff. I’ve learned to pay attention to when I am having to hold the client to still and asking them to relax has helped a lot. When I am just going nail art I also do my best to relax my hands. I’m still a beginner too so I’m praying I stay educated in proper form for my wrists neck and back
Do you use baby powder in your work? Why or why not? I’m curious what you think 💅 I like using a little baby powder before pushing the cuticle with a pusher. It helps absorb extra moisture and gives a cleaner result.
Who else gets excited over new nail tools? 😏 Fresh nippers. New bits. Sharp scissors. It’s giving new level energy 💅 There’s just something about opening new instruments that feels like a fresh start. And especially when the brand adds little gifts inside 🥹🤍 It’s such a small detail, but it makes the whole order feel extra special.
