Tito Learns about Ice wraps
My other donkey had a swollen fetlock and needed to be iced twice a day, Tito was VERY interested in what was happening and wanted to participate. So here he is practicing his leg ice wraps.

@Pauline Keil Hellooo!!!!! So glad there are more of us!
Tito's Introduction to the Hoofboss
Tito learning about the noises of the hoofboss. He ended up being more concerned about the sound of the actual clicker. I usually use a mouth click, but I wanted them to be able to hear the click, so I brought a real clicker out with me. Hopefully soon there will be a follow up on this video! We're working hard on this task.

Tito learns about the bridge
We just built some bridges over our irrigation ditches so in the future we can ride and drive over them easily, no jumping. This means I have to introduce each one to the donkeys. Freddie and Kodiak have been across them and now it's Titos turn. Because he's my bolter, or recovering bolter, I created an emotional support donkey sandwich. Freddie on one side and Kodiak on the other side. He did very well and no pulling on the lead to ask him across.

His next session (my husband doesn't zoom for some reason 🤣) I have Tito closest to the camera in my left hand and Kodiak in my right.
So proud of Tito learning to self bridle
This boy has come so far and yes it's taking awhile. I've had people respond with 'oh you should have been there in two weeks ' when I share training accomplishments. I disagree, I think the animal gets to choose how quickly we go, especially with my inexperience. When I got Tito in Sept 2023 I couldn't catch him, he ran away from me everytime I went out to see him he'd spook and run away. But his attitude towards working together is phenomenal. He's eager, and thinks through things so much. (I have a mammoth I'm also training and he offers mostly his ideas 🤣🤣🤣🤣). Happy I have a place to share! This is his first time seeing these bridles, I've only haltered him and we have not done any target work with that it in general.

@Jean Pocha I use a combination of clicker training and liberty training. I think it made a huge difference in this particular donkey having the choice to participate.

@Jean Pocha I did all his hoof handling the same. I have lots of very long boring videos if you'd like to see any. Looking forward to any shares on your journey!
Donkey Zoomies!
This is one of the reasons I love tracks so much, I feel they encourage little donkey races with the boys.
