Scripture for the Week 🙏🏾
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6 Let me be honest with you for a moment. One of the hardest parts of leadership as a wife, mother, and professional woman is decision fatigue. You’re making decisions at work. You're making decisions for your children. You're making decisions about your marriage, your schedule, your home, and everyone else’s needs. And if we’re not careful, we start believing everything depends on us. But this scripture reminds us of something powerful: You were never meant to carry leadership alone. God never asked you to figure everything out first and then invite Him in. He asked you to trust Him first. Sometimes the most courageous leadership decision you can make is: • Saying no when your plate is already full • Creating boundaries around your time and energy • Pausing long enough to ask God for direction before responding Because when we lean only on our own understanding, we end up overextended, overwhelmed, and spiritually drained. But when we trust God with our leadership… He brings clarity where there was confusion. He gives peace where there was pressure. He straightens paths we were trying to force open ourselves. I had to learn this the hard way during my years in corporate leadership. I thought being a “good leader” meant handling everything, fixing everything, and showing no cracks. But God showed me something different: Faith-filled leadership is not about doing more. It’s about trusting Him more. So here’s a question for you today: ✨ Where might God be asking you to trust Him instead of trying to control the outcome? Maybe it’s a decision. Maybe it’s a boundary you know you need to set. Maybe it’s releasing something that has been weighing on you. Drop a word or short reflection below if you feel led. I’d love to pray over what you’re trusting God with this week.
