Who here is currently tracking HRV?
Most people have no idea what their nervous system is doing day to day. 🧠 They train hard… They feel tired… They guess whether to push or rest. HRV removes the guesswork. 📊 It shows how your body is actually coping with stress, sleep, training, and recovery. There are 3 simple ways you can start tracking it: 📱 Phone apps easiest place to start ⌚ Wearables automatic daily tracking 🫀 Chest straps highest accuracy (what I personally use) You don’t need the perfect setup. You just need awareness. @Leanne Randall you can order them online, usually alot of sports shops sell them, you can go onto google and search polar h10 heart rate chest strap and it will bring it up. Wildfire sports online also sells them a little bit cheaper than buying from polar.com

@Crystal Jasperson Sometimes I hit 4 cups a day myself haha. Hydration definitely helps offset some of the cardiovascular strain, but caffeine still stimulates the sympathetic nervous system regardless of our tolerance levels. The really interesting part is how individual the response is, some people recover quickly, others stay in a more wired state longer without realising it. Tracking your HRV is one of the easiest ways to actually see how your body personally responds, so you can keep that balance and avoid overstimulating the system. Do you have them all in the morning or spread out through your day?

@Crystal Jasperson That actually makes a lot of sense, especially with ADHD. Many people with ADHD don’t get the obvious buzz side of things because caffeine can improve that dopamine signalling and focus, so it feels calming instead of stimulating. But physiologically it’s still activating the nervous system to some degree, even if you don’t feel it. This is where your HRV becomes really interesting, because it shows the objective response sometimes people feel relaxed, but their nervous system is still in a more stimulated state.
