Ankle about to explode?
I’m trying to learn to coil on the rear leg so I can help my boys with feel/mechanic but when I turn my back right pocket it feels like it’s all turning in the outside of my ankle. Is that normal? I’ve been trying it off of one leg and weightless front foot. I’ve noticed my back knee also sometimes moving behind my foot slightly. I’ve seen my son do it too, so I know I’m translating something wrong, if that isn’t right. Feels like a dumb question, but dumber not to get the answer.

Might try grabbing a broomstick, put it across your chest and stand in a doorway. This will lock your upper body and isolate your lower half allowing you to feel the coiled rear leg. Also, if you wrap towels around the end of the broomstick you can also work the stretch up the back against the forward move. One thing I found when doing this is how small the movements are to get significant feel and stretch.
