Two lines installed for a regenerative cattle farm
Installed these two tree lines as a trial on this regenerative cattle farm. She wanted these lines primarily for food security but also as trialling species and partially for fodder crops for the cattle. Food security was the primary objective though as well as experimentation. https://youtu.be/-z6njCwM3Jk?si=lepEPNRWGgvjrc6d

@Milan Marquis yeah it was about 12m. It wasn’t exact as the cattle would be doing a heavy graze twice year so no machinery needed so no specific spacing requirements. I just wanted to move it up the gradient more to see if it had much of an effect of species selection. We had more Mediterranean up the top line and more traditional Temperate species in the low line. We had the main crops at 3.5m spacing then inter planted with avocados, loquats or bay tree and then between those we had tree lucern and lavender or rosemary. In each 3.5m bay I put one sugar gum.
Doing a bit of a re order/location fix
Changing the layout of one of the backyard tree lines to allow for more space between tree lines.

@Milan Marquis the mean min temp is12- 5.5C. Mean max is 14-25C. Be we get days of 45C every so often in summer. most of my yard is climate standard, I definitely want to try more guavas though (favourite fruit). We are in a very good spot for soil quality so it’s just trying to keep them sheltered and in a bit of a micro climate until they are a bit more settled. The other plants have been grown successfully locally (except the American paw paw, haven’t seen that yet but it should do well in this climate)

@Milan Marquis no not usually, we get frosts but never snow.
Interesting/affirming podcast
This podcast is saying what we know but it’s nice to see the concept being taken up by entire municipalities. https://open.spotify.com/episode/34gKMakgHq3bQ5gpWHfQTV?si=XSqYpu-LTjWxn6nTVXUrWg
