Learn topics and techniques in small isolated projects that you can refer back to as personal working examples. Once youve studied some learning material (books, articles, videos etc) ask AI to give you 5 challenges on the topic. 1 easy 2 medium and 2 hard problems and then do the work. Put the work on your github for safe keeping. The projects do not need to be big, they just need to demonstrate working knowledge of some topic. Write a README for each project that outlines the goal, topics covered and what you have learned from completing the project. As you cover more topics and material you will start having projects and examples that are bigger and more involved because you will need to piece more and more things together because of how Java / Spring Boot works. Over time you will have code for your self that you can reference back to, that you wrote, to help you when working on bigger projects that requires various topics and knowledge that you have to put together and will be much easier because you have a working understanding of the individual pieces involved.

i agree with this. I have been writing less new code and instead using more already existing code. Anything new is minimal, what a framework already provides and is the bare necessities. The rest of the heavy lifting is done by already existing code that I hook into. I consider these changes to be the best changes! It’s battle tested, it’s known and it’s already been serving value long before new changes come in.

@Kuro Ryan run Powershell as a Administrator and then in powershell run wsl —install (two dashes no space install) This will install Windows Subsystem for Linux which is needed for Docker on Windows. After that is done install Docker Desktop Wsl install docs: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install Docker Desktop: https://docs.docker.com/desktop/setup/install/windows-install/

@Kuro Ryan no nothing else, you just need to run Powershell as Administrator, run the wsl install command and then download Docker Desktop and you should be good. The version of docker desktop you need is probably the x86_64 version
