🔥 Who Else Was Built Different?
Let’s be real… being Made in ’76 hits different. We grew up in a time where things were tougher, simpler, and REAL. 💬 Drop ONE thing you learned growing up that people today just wouldn’t understand… Was it: - Work ethic? - Respect? - Hustle? - Figuring things out without Google? 😅 👇 Comment below — let’s see who’s really born in '76.

All of the above! But mostly, I learned how to work. My dad was a mailman and my mom worked at the hospital in Central Processing (that's where they sterilize all the instruments for the doctors). They worked hard and expected us to help out and do the same. I laugh now, but my favorite job was to clean the bathroom (we only had one with 6 people)! The worst for me was cleaning the kitchen. I hated moping the floor.
💥 1976 vs Today… What Changed?
If you could bring ONE thing back from the way things were… What would it be? 💭 Simpler times? 💭 Real conversations? 💭 Less distractions? 💭 Stronger communities? 💭 Corded Phones?🤣 OR… Would you keep things how they are now? 👇 Drop your answer + WHY — let’s spark a real conversation.

I'd bring back Saturday morning cartoons. I don't think life got any better than that. Who remembers Gem and the Holograms? Truly outrageous! Truly, truly, truly outrageous!
🚀 What Are You Building?
Just because we were Made in ’76 doesn’t mean we’re done… We’re just getting started. 💪 So tell me— 👉 What are you working on RIGHT NOW? - Starting something new? - Growing a business? - Getting back in shape? - Leveling up your mindset? No lurkers… I want to see everyone to check in 👇 Let’s support each other and build something that lasts.

Of course, I'm building this community. However, I'm also a Health Insurance Agent specializing in Medicare, so I'm building that business, and most recently focusing on my own health. I want to live to be 100! Who's with me?!!
1976: The Year That Built Us 🎉
They say you can’t choose when you’re born, but for those of us who arrived in 1976, it feels like we were hand-picked for a specific mission. We entered the world to the sound of fireworks and the sight of the Red, White, and Blue flying higher than ever. It was the Bicentennial Year—a massive, nationwide celebration of 200 years of American resilience, grit, and independence. We were the "Bicentennial Babies," and though we were too small to remember the parades, that spirit of unity and celebration was baked into our DNA from day one. But it wasn't just the patriotism that shaped us. It was the unique "bridge" era we grew up in. The Analog Foundation 📻 We are the last generation to have a truly "unplugged" childhood. We spent our afternoons chasing the ice cream truck, playing until the streetlights came on, and navigating the world without a GPS in our pockets. We learned patience through busy signals on rotary phones and persistence by blowing into Nintendo cartridges to make them work. Those years gave us a rock-solid foundation. We learned how to read a room before we learned how to read a screen. We built a work ethic based on physical presence, eye contact, and a firm handshake. The Digital Evolution 💻 Just as we were hitting our stride, the world shifted. We were young enough to adapt to the internet revolution but old enough to remember the value of life before it. This made us the ultimate adapters. We are tech-savvy enough to lead in a digital world, but we still have the "old school" wisdom to know when to shut the laptop and have a real conversation. Built for This Moment 🦅 Now, here we are—around the age of 50. In many ways, we are at the "halftime" of our lives. But this isn't a crisis; it’s a commissioning. Our country and our communities are craving exactly what the Class of ’76 has to offer: - Unity: We remember a time when neighbors were friends regardless of their politics. - Grit: We know how to show up and do the work when things get tough. - Legacy: We are at the age where we care more about what we leave behind than what we’re getting right now.

Growing up my absolute favorite was getting on my banana seat bike and heading down the street with my friends to the "dirt hills". At the end of our block there were a few lots that were still undeveloped. We'd spend hours in the summer riding up and down the mounds of dirt, digging holes and playing hide and seek in the weeds. I think my favorite part of being a Bicentennial Baby was the lack of supervision and structure 😅.
OUR VISION 🚀
[IMPORTANT READ] Wow! I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who has already joined Made in ’76. Together, the goal is simple... Bring together 500+ like-minded individuals who were built different. We aren't just a birth year; we are the Bicentennial Generation. Born during our nation’s 200th birthday, we carry a unique spark of patriotism, resilience, and grit. We're here to take that uniqueness — and create a community where experience, wisdom, and real-life lessons actually mean something. This isn’t just another group… You have become part of something special. This is where people who were born in ’76 are reminding the nation of what "United" truly means through sharing stories, supporting one another, providing motivation, and the means necessary to continue (or start) building a life they’re proud of. Together, we’re building something rare… A group of people who still believe in: 🦅 Our Country (Regardless of who the current President is) 💪 Work ethic 🤝 Loyalty 🔥 Showing up and doing what needs to be done 🎯 Building a legacy that lasts With that in mind, here’s our focus as a group: 🔥 Stay sharp mentally, physically, and financially 💥 Support each other through wins AND challenges 🚀 Keep growing — we may be 50 but we’re not done yet 💡 Share knowledge, stories, and real experiences 🏆 Build something meaningful that outlasts us FEW THINGS TO NOTE: 1. Make sure to say hello below and introduce yourself! Tell us where you’re from and what brought you here. 2. We were built in ’76… We’ve got the wisdom of experience and the fire of a 1776 revolutionary. We’re here to support, not complain; to build, not tear down; and to thrive together. 🥁✨ Are you ready to represent the Best of '76? I believe you were made for it! 🫡🔥 — Kristy

Hi! I'm Kristy. I was born in Orem, UT and now live in Spanish Fork, UT. I started this group because I believe being a Bicentennial Baby is unique and awesome. I want to connect with others my age, make friends, and utilize our talents and skills to help support one another through the next 50 years of our lives!
