How do you show love ?
We touched a little on love languages in a previous post and some of you shared your love language, which got me wondering, how do you show your partner love. Do you know your partners love language and show them love in a way they will understand. For example- I know one of Kristys love languages are words of affirmation so I leave little notes around the house for her to find telling her how I feel about her. So my question is - do you know your partners love language and what do you do to show them love in their language ๐Ÿค”

I show love in lots of different ways. Touch, acts of service, appreciation (words), little gifts here and there, being fully present and coming up with various ways of spending quality time together.
A little slice of heaven !
After the madness that has been Christmas and New year, Kristy and myself have been lucky enough to get away from it all. Just us, a cottage in the middle of nowhere and a roaring fire. It's so important to take time out to connect with your partner and to remember why you chose to be with each other. Quality Time is love language we both value highly. What are your Love Languages?

What a day so far !
As a kid I loved the snow. I loved the snow until I was 21 when I passed my heavy goods licence (big rig trucks) Alot of people think these trucks are good in the snow, they would be wrong.....so wrong. I would be better off pulling the trailer on with my motorbike lol. It's going to be a long day. I'll get home (if I get home) just in time to go to sleep, 9 hours off then back up at 5am to do it all again tomorrow. I don't know who I upset in a past life but they've got it in for me.

Am so grateful to you that you work so hard for us. Also really grateful we have some quality time off together in the coming weeks ๐Ÿ˜˜ I spent 10 hours doing accounts today. Gotta love January tax returns ๐Ÿคช
Attachment Styles !
Everybody is banging on about it on social media...... how to change your attachment style in 4 easy steps..... you can go from avoidant to secure in just a few weeks etc. Yes, you can change your attachment style, but what's not being said is that it takes time, alot of work and by no means is there an easy fix. No one else can do it for you. Here at Bridging the Divide you can be taken through an 8 week course that covers Attachment styles, amongst other modules, and be given the tools to start changing your relationship for the better. Yes, it take some patience, commitment and work on your behalf and no, its not always easy, but it's certainly worth it. Oh..... and it's much cheaper than a divorce lawyer ๐Ÿค‘

Totally hear you on the length of time it can take. I had a really anxious attachment style due to multiple childhood traumas and it took months of dedicated inner work to move from anxious to being securely attached. Feels so much better now though, so investing that time and energy into understanding myself brough so many benefits to relationship.

@Lee Clewes they may appear happy, but an avoidant is likely lonely and anxious is, well..... anxious. Both are scared. Maybe explaining the difference in how avoidant or anxious feels, compared to how secure feels, is the way to go?
