I was wondering if you guys could help me figure out where to go next? I'm going to Puerto Vallarta for the month of December. After that I have a few options. I can't stay in Puerto Vallarta as, for me, it's super expensive so... I can go back to Merida, which is a lot more affordable, but it's still more expensive than say, Colombia. I can go back to Colombia because my visa will have renewed by then. I can go to Pereira as I have been there before and I liked it and it's much more affordable than than Medellin. OR I can pull the trigger and go to Cambodia. Specifically Seam Reap. It's obviously more expensive in South America than Southeast Asia. Healthcare is better in in Mexico and Colombia than it is Cambodia It would be expensive to get to Cambodia, but once I'm there it'd be much cheaper. Cost is one of the driving factors for me but so is mental health and quality of life My parents are older now so if anything happens I can quickly get back to the US if I stay in South America. I need the time to get working again and focus on growing my business so saving money is important to me. Being 12 hours ahead of all my friends and family is difficult. Not having any resources or friends or family in Cambodia would be difficult. Bottom line: It seems there are so many factors that I'm having a really difficult time deciding. Southeast Asia in general is much safer than South America and the cost savings, but the fact that if and when I get working I would be working graveyard shifts which would be really difficult for me and a bit of a nightmare but once I had the extra money I could come back. Any insight that would help me make a decision would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long message but I wanted to lay out all the factors as I see them so I can make the best decision 🙏
