Tell me honestly how your photo/video business is going…
I haven’t heard in a while from many of you guys, to be fair I’ve also been struggling with my niche since more competition has arrived 😬 But apart from that tell me how it’s going with you guys? Like honestly. I’m praying for you guys man, we are all gonna break through and succeed too it’s literally just a matter of time. For me it’s not going too well and things got mega hard but we’re hanging on you know.

WELCOME 3 NEW DEDICATED MEMBERS!!!
Shouts out to @Jairo Saucedo @Steven Curtis @Maximilian Kluzek!!! I love having really dedicated people in the group who are trying their hardest to learn and seek out new information! My advice to them and to everyone else is obviously to introduce yourself, ask questions about things your struggling with, and to go through the free course material 1 step at a time! Ya’ll got this and whenever you need anything just use the community to help you! 😁

@Jan Danielewicz Sting would be an AWESOME show to see. Paul Simon's was good, but the 1st half was newer music that was kind of SAD and depressing to most of the crowd.

@Zofia Danielewicz I wear my headphones A LOT. I have very short hair, so when I do wear them, they put a divot in my hair!
$10K/month is closer than you think
$10K/month feels miles away to most photographers and videographers I meet. It sits in their head as this abstract target that exists for other people, somewhere down the line, once everything else has sorted itself out. The number feels huge because nobody's ever broken it down into what it actually requires. So let's do that. → At $1,500 per client, you need 7 clients. → At $2,000, you need 5. → At $2,500, you need 4. Four clients is the target for us. The whole problem changes shape the moment you see it that way. It stops being "how do I build a $10K/month photo/video business" and starts being "how do I find 4 clients and keep them," which is a much more manageable thing to work backwards from. So what does finding 4 clients at $2,500 actually take? A clear offer that lands with the right people, an outreach process consistent enough to put calls on your calendar, and a sales conversation built to close when those calls show up. None of that is mysterious. It's learnable, it's repeatable, and once it's all running as a system, the whole thing compounds. You can get from where you are right now to that number by following the free course in the classroom. click below to start it if you haven’t already done so 👇

here in KC, the only way you get that much is if you do the weddings. Those are the high dollar shoots here

@Dawn D I have only done three weddings. The first one I did was back in 2013, and the clients claimed they HATED the photos and demanded I give them the SD card I shot them on. They would NOT let me use the pictures. The 2nd was my niece's wedding back in 2017, then this last one in May. They were ALL small intimate weddings, and i REFUSE to charge someone $2000 for a wedding!
Have you heard of this?
The other day I was contacted by someone asking me if I do reunion event photography. I replied that I do and would the opportunity to do it. We exchanged several emails about it. We agreed on a price and started the process. I sent the contract for them to sign. She replied everything looks great, but my bank has restrictions on things like Venmo. She wanted to send me an electronic check, asking me to send my name and bank name. I immediately started feeling kind of suspicious, so i asked her to do it thru PayPal. Nope she wanted to do it via E-check only. I told her i didn't feel comfortable doing that, so if she insisted, I recommend she find a new photographer. Was I wrong?
