So I’m trying to get a California permit and a New York permit and open up a Coogan account. And I have some questions. We live in Georgia, so would me opening up a Coogan account in Georgia count for a job in let’s say LA? Or do I need to open up a Coogan account in LA? Also on work permits, we homeschool. How do we get a work permit in LA/New York if we homeschool? We are not tied to any school district because Georgia does not have us reporting to anyone. The only thing we do is we register every year that we will be homeschooling said children. The school district does not know anything about my homeschooling whatsoever so how could they sign off on anything?

We are based out of Michigan. My daughter, Lilly, is 12 and loves to be a busy, on the go, social butterfly. She got the performance bug when she started community theater the other year and made the decision to pursue film and television towards the end of 2023 so she is still pretty new. She has regional representation and recently signed for representation and management in Los Angeles where I am originally from. We are excited to see where her journey takes her and so fortunate to have found the Child Actor 101 FB group which has been our foundation into the industry.
