Why "Scribbles" are actually the first chapter of reading
Most people see a toddler or Pre-K student drawing circles and lines and think, 'Oh, that's a cute drawing.' But as an educator with a deep love for early development, I see something much bigger happening. I see Emergent Literacy. Before a child can write their name, they have to understand that marks on a page carry meaning. This is the bridge between art and reading. In this community, we’re going to stop guessing about milestones and start intentional play that builds real skills. What to expect here: - Weekly 'Deep Dives': Blog-style posts on Pre-K development. - Activity Vault: Simple things you can do tomorrow with just paper and crayons. - The 'Literacy Lab': Behind-the-scenes of how we get kids ready for Kindergarten without the stress. Let’s start with a quick win: Post a photo of your child’s (or student’s) latest 'masterpiece' below. I’ll tell you exactly which literacy milestone they are practicing based on their marks! Can’t wait to grow together, Wyntir

I think this is a wonderful way to inspire growth in children and help their parents to understand why the small things are so important
