What do you think of AI and coaching?
Just read this article on AI and I thought you might be interested in this quote from it: “AI won’t replace coaches, but coaches who use AI might replace coaches who don’t.” What are you thinking about AI in the coaching space? Do you see AI as something that strengthens the coaching profession, or changes it in ways that concern you? Article: Coaching is Human-Centered. Can AI Help?

This is a hot topic! My take is that AI can SUPPLEMENT good coaching if used well. It is NOT good at - pushing back, challenging your comfort zone, guiding you holistically, holding you accountable to your own goals, being a human mirror that allows you to practice vulnerability. It IS good at - being an unlimited sounding board to challenge your mindset and blind spots, help you unpack something and see it in a different way, and sometimes say things that would be too hard to share with a human. But you do have to know how to use it to be "coached" by it vs venting.

@Miri Campbell it will only challenge as much as the user trains it is comfortable to challenge it! hah. Now, in fairness, a human might QUIT coaching if a coach challenges them too much too BUT it *can* happen in a way that it basically cannot with AI.

@Miri Campbell :) but that was like 7 years ago... webinar ads when they were at their peak. I am dipping a toe back into coaching again and including it as part of my ecosystem of offerings.
