As contract and sports attorneys, we’ve seen firsthand how much more families can do to improve both an athlete’s recruiting opportunities and their overall experience once they reach the collegiate level. Hi parents and athletes, Please find below the key dates for when the transfer portal is open for each sport at NCAA Division I programs. While there are limited exceptions—such as a coaching change or for graduating athletes—these windows generally represent the only opportunity for your son or daughter to enter the portal and transfer if they are currently competing in NCAA athletics.
